Chapter 7 The Treaty

Noah lay on his stomach, swatting away the overgrown grass tickling his neck, he lay under the oak tree outside, his sketchbook laying on the grass in front of him. He was sketching again, he was using colors this time, black for the background, that covered the entire page. He sprinkled a little white for the stars, traces of them left on his face. He used white for her big dress, yellow for her hair, and brown for her delicate eyes. He used every color to detail every flower on her dress, the flowers that bloomed in the dead of the night. She looked like summer in the deep winter.

He didn't feel hurt when he heard his two friends left without him last night, he felt alone more than anything. He was back with his family now but, he only knew them for blood, they were practically strangers. He cared more about Mrs. Dickerson, from the cafe back home, than he did his mom, at least she knew his favorite meal. He could count on one hand how many conversations he had with his entire family.

He had 3 older siblings, all brothers, 25, 22, and 21. and one younger sister, 10. They were all warriors for the king, their father. They spend all day and night training in the gym, he wasn't yet sure for what, they said war is coming, but they also said unicorns are real so he left that on the table for now.

His father spends all his time copped in his office reading one document after the other, trying to find God knows what. The only time he sees him outside of his office is when he goes to visit his mother in her room, every day at 10 pm, she screams for hours on end calling out a single name, 'Jeremy'. He stays with her until she calms down again, or until she is sedated, for another 24 hours, where she will start screaming for Jeremiah. Other times she sits on her rocking chair by the window, eyes glued to the landscape, murmuring something below her breath, she sits there for long hours, almost empty for the world to take until night comes.

His two older brothers go to visit her once a day, when she is in her quiet state, they tell her about their days, fighting over who says what first, then they sit there in silence, joining her by the window to stare out to the landscape, before they leave for their training, giving her a soft peck on both her cheeks. The eldest comes in every other day, which is never, he says he doesn't know the woman in the chair, and she is not his mother. But he always stands by the door at four o'clock at night, when she screams for her Jeremiah.

The youngest, his only sister lives in despair, as does he. She runs away an average of 7 times a week, and she is then brought back by the second and third oldest. He liked her more than the others, she seemed to like him too, for she always made him flower bands, every day a different color, and she stopped running away after he came. She hangout with him telling him all about his new family, every detail he knows and needs to know before she is dragged away by her two brothers for training.

"My Prince!" A maid calls out, as he finishes with the flower imprinted dress. He looks up to see a woman, not more than 50 standing further away from him with her hands on the back. He thought her name was Ms. Puckett, but he wasn't sure so he kept quiet and stared at her until she spoke again.

"Lunch is almost ready, my prince," she says, a little tremble in her voice, he wondered if the small breeze was too cold for her, but decided not to comment, and instead only nodded, sending the woman scurrying away.

He picked up all his materials putting them in the handbag, he slowly placed each material inside, very wary of the slow-paced time, until he felt small hands on his eyes, covering his vision.

"Hmm.. who could it be?" He says In a singalong voice, reaching back to tickle the culprit.

"It's not Allega," she says, bringing her voice down to a lower pitch, imitating a man's voice.

"Oh then, I have to attack you with tickles. Since I don't know who you are" He says turning with his arms stretched out in front of her, tickling her until she falls to the ground.

Allega sleeps on the grass, her laughter filling the quiet air. Noah tickles the little girl, finally stopping when she calls a truce, by giving him another flower band, a pink, yellow, and blue combination, he liked her bold choice of colors. He took the flower band from the girl, still giggling from the tickles, with a small bow before placing it on his dark curls.

"Thank you, my lady," He says standing up while reaching an arm out for her.

"Your most welcome, your highness" she returns his bow with a curtsy, pulling at the hems of the invisible dress above her training wear.

"How was your training today?" He asks picking up his packed bag from the ground and joining her on the walk back to the castle.

"As every day," she says turning to him, with her forefinger in her mouth, fake gagging for full delivery of the message.

Noah chuckles, rubbing at her hair. They reach the doors to the castle as the prince of the dark, with his signature black attire walks out.

"Wait, Cameron" Noah calls out, running to catch up with the prince.

"Oh, my favorite fish!" Cameron says, stopping to greet the boy with the flower band on his head.

"I just wanted to say thank you for the other day," He says, ignoring the prince's remark.

"You are going to have to do better than that, fresh prince"

"With oli, when she drowned in that lake if it wasn't for your help that monster would have pulled both of us down," He says reaching his arm out for a handshake.

The prince looks at the outstretched arms of the boy for a minute before he shakes them back. "I don't know what to say, I didn't anticipate the thanks would be coming from you, so I only have a reply to the one," He says crossing his arms over his chest, "you can thank me with a kiss, princess," He says with a wink, earning a slack look from the boy.

"Umm.." The boy begins, not knowing where to go next.

"Relax pretty boy, I meant it for the princess. The real princess" He says turning to walk away from the boy.

"You should stay away from Olivia," the boy says, stopping the prince in his tracks.

"And why is that?" The prince says, his back still turned to the boy.

"She isn't interested"

"And what makes you say that?"

"I know oli more than anyone, she is my best friend"

"Is that?" The prince mocks turning his head to meet the boys' eyes with his side eye, "then tell me, why are you still here?" He asks, leaving without another word.

Noah stands there, dumbfounded by the prince's words. He finally turns to the castle kitchen, entering the grand hallway. He quietly walks the halls, eyes placed on the ground, his vision blurry with tears that fall every two steps. He finally reached the dining hall, wiping his tears with the sleeves of his shirt, he entered the large dining hall, joining his new family, his father, two brothers, and sister on a big circular table.

Noah grabs a seat beside his sister, after she waved him over, frantically tapping on the chair. "Where is Amadeus?" He asks, missing the eldest brother from his usual seat at the table.

"Oh, he left on some trip," Allega says, taking a bite out of her steak.

"What trip?" He asks, slicing his steak into small pieces.

"He didn't say? He left so suddenly" she says, giving him her roasted carrots.

"When did he leave?" He asks, finally taking a bite of the meat.

"The night of the Galla," the girl says, causing Noah's hands to stop the mid-bite, "the same day as your friends"

**********

"Your majesty, lunch is served in the dining hall," Mr. White from the kitchen says, with a little bow to the three women in the courtyard.

"Thank you, Mr. White. We will be right in" the queen says taking in a quick breath.

The small man leaves, pulling down his shirt, and covering his belly as he goes. Mikayla's gaze lingers on him for a moment longer, the hairs on her back rising. She didn't know if it was from the cool breeze in the grass she is sitting on or from the odd smile of the man as he saw her friend, lying face down on the ground, too tired to roll around after practicing a new fighting technique.

Olivia lifts her head with her shoulders turning her gaze to the warrior woman in front of her.

"You've beaten me to the pulp," she says between breaths, her eyes not focusing on the duplicate figures before her.

"You did well than I imagined, actually," the woman says, stooping down to her knees, decreasing the eye level difference between them, "a little more practice, and you will be using your gifts in no time"

"Did you practice like this before you used your powers?" She asks, her arms giving out and falling to the grass.

"No. When I became queen" the woman replies with a little smile.

"Then why am I practicing like this?" Olivia asks, her voice muffled from the grass.

"Because you will be queen one day," the woman says a matter of factually, earning a startled gasp from the girl and the brunette.

"WHAT?" Olivia screams, standing to her feet, with her arm out.

"What?" Mikayla almost whispers at the same time, her arms flying to her mouth.

"Well, of course, Olivetti, this is the rightful throne that you shall rule one day," the woman says rising to her feet and placing her arms on the girls' shoulders, to calm her.

"But..but... I can't be queen" she says stammering to put the word together.

"But you are already, the moment you were born. You stepped foot in this world to rule the northern kingdom, that is your destiny my dearest child" she says gently stroking the silent tears from the girl's soft cheeks.

"What destiny? a week ago my last name was Fitzherbert, I was named after a character in a movie" The girl blinks hard, brushing the tears out from her eyes.

"what movie?"

"Tangled," she says, bringing her head down, "sometimes I wondered if I could be his kid" She takes a deep breath meeting the eyes of the queen before her, "But I can't, I can't just be queen for a whole kingdom that I just found out existed just days ago," she says, gently removing her aunts' hands from her cheeks, "I don't even know anything about the kingdom, how can I rule over something I don't know anything about," she says slowly retreating to her friend, who was seeing the exchange with wide eyes and gaping mouth.

"I can teach you," the queen says, reaching for her arms, causing the girl to jump back holding her hands to her chest.

"No, I won't. I'm sorry. I can't take responsibility for thousands or millions of people. I DO NOT EVEN KNOW THE POPULATION NUMBER! DOESN'T THAT TELL YOU SOMETHING?" She says reeking her blond, almost white, hair back with both her fingers.

"I promise baby. I will be with you every step of the way. I will never leave you ever" the queen says earning a scoff from the girl "I will stand by your side and help you become the queen you are meant to be," she says, pleading with the girl.

Olivia looks at the woman before her, seeing the mirroring features stare back at her. "No," she says, shaking her head continuously, "I can't. I just can't," she says turning to leave, ignoring her aunt's calls from behind her.

"Livie wait!" Mikayla calls out to her friend, following close behind the girl.

"No MK. I won't do it" Olivia says, her pace quickening.

"No livie just listen to me" Mikayla calls out now almost jogging to catch up to the girl.

"This is too much. You can't expect me to rule an ENTIRE kingdom!" She says waving her arms out in frustration.

"Liv!" Mikayla calls out, catching up to her friend. She grabs her by the shoulders turning her and catching her in her embrace. The girl breaks out in sobs, grabbing hold of her friend weak from her trembling knees.

"IT WAS HIM. HE WAS SUPPOSED TO RULE OVER THE KINGDOM. IT WAS HIM" the girl screams out, between sobs. Falling to her knees, still in her friend's warm embrace.

"I know livie. I know" Mikayla says, not fighting back her tears.

They hold each other for a while, sobbing while kneeling on the ground. Crying for each other, crying for their freedom, and most of all crying for the little boy with white hair and fiery golden eyes, the little boy who would have grown to be a great king.

*********

"I know who killed him MK" Olivia speaks out in a silent whisper, if they weren't laying on the big plushy bed, snuggled beside each other, she was sure the girl wouldn't have heard her.

Mikayla says nothing to this, gently brushing the girl's hair, and silently waiting for the girl to continue.

"It was the western kingdom" she manages out, her hands tightening around her friend, "I don't know how to explain this but, the western kingdom prince has been trying to kidnap me for a long time now," she says causing her friend to pull back, meeting her eyes.

"Wait. What?" Mikayla says, with furrowed eyebrows, "since when? And why didn't you tell me this?"

"Because for the longest time I thought it was a nightmare or something. I hadn't thought it was real until the last time they openly tried to kidnap me" she says taking in a single breath, "all those times, it was the same. A black van would come and two men would drag me inside, tying me up with rope, I would be placed against the metal van's wall, with my arms tied back, and a cloth covering my eyes" she stops to take a deep breath, while Mikayla gently rubs on her forearms, giving her silent comfort, "I couldn't see a thing, I could only hear them talking, I never understood what they were saying then but now it all makes sense"

"What did they say?" Mikayla asks, her voice barely above a whisper.

"They used to say 'your highness we got the princess, we are taking her to the warehouse. We will travel the dimensions when we reach there' I remember it so clearly now" she says sharing the tremble in her arms with her friend, "then we will travel for a long time, I would count until one thousand two hundred and thirty-four, then they would stop the van and drag me out as they dragged me in. We would walk fourth steps before we stop, then they would remove the blindfold and I would see him" she says, the tears in her eyes, streaming down both her cheeks.

"Who?" Mikayla asks, reaching to wipe her friend's tears, unbeknownst to her own tears streaming down her face.

"Cameron, prince Cameron" she breathes out, falling into her friend's embrace.

"It's okay, your safe now"

"That's just it. I don't think I am, because, for whatever reason he wanted me, but he never got it. He tried seven more times before my birthday" she breaks out in sobs.

"What did they want?"

"I don't know. They would remove the blindfold and I would see him, then I would look around and I would see that car" she says pulling away to meet her friend's eyes, "BLK879. the same car and the same license plate"

"Are you sure?"

"That car is engraved on my mind, I will never forget it," she says wiping at her tears.

"What happens after that?"

"I would black out. I thought that was the end of the dream before, I only realized now what happened. It's the same thing as that time in the lake house with that monster. I black out and I attack them with my light, I just don't know how"

"If you attacked them with your light, how are they still alive?"

"That's the thing, because the next morning I wake up in my room, with a small headache and a tingling pain in my neck, just like the day I woke up in the western kingdom. The same headache and the same tingling in my neck"

"When was this? Why didn't I notice this?"

Olivia studies her friend for a moment, before finally saying "Noah. Every morning he would come into my room always looking for something, and I would tell him what happened and he would tell me he walked me home himself, I might just be having nightmares. And I would believe him, thinking my mind is just playing games on me" she stops, feeling her friend's hands grip harden on her hands, her eyes blazing with anger. "The last day I remember was when Noah was discharged from the hospital, and we went for milkshakes and waffles at the Cherry-pop cafe. We were heading home when the van appeared suddenly and we were taken to the warehouse. I wasn't afraid as much since Noah was here with me this time. But then when they took him out I ran out screaming, telling them to let him go, that's when I saw Cameron again, that's when I saw the license plate and the car, that's when I blacked out again" She stops taking a deep breath before continuing, "then the next morning I called Noah, suddenly so glad to have someone to talk to, so glad that I wasn't crazy anymore. But he tells me it was a nightmare yet again, making me feel like a crazy person once again. And I will never forgive him for that. Never"

"I understand," Mikayla says rubbing her friend's arms gently.

"That was my birthday, the day we were kidnapped," Olivia says, "I didn't recognize him first, Cameron I mean. Not until that day at the castle, he was sitting by the coffee table drinking chamomile tea, and it suddenly hit me. I smelled chamomile tea on him on those many kidnaps, for the longest time I was repulsed by them, couldn't stand their smell for a second. I tried to play it cool, to leave quietly with you and the boys, after they give you the moon-flower, that's when my aunt came, and I saw our glimmer of hope, our escape"

"You did the right thing"

"I don't think I could ever trust Noah now. Not for a long time"

"I understand"

"The western kingdom is responsible for my brother's death. And I will make them pay for that"

"But how?"

"I'm not hundred percent on the details but I will take their kingdom from them, if the prophecy is true I will rule all the kingdoms as one, chase them to their scraps"

"But I thought you said you didn't want to be queen"

"I didn't fully think about the details, I didn't think it would happen this fast either. I don't know if I'm ready" Olivia says with a grunt, covering her face with her hands.

"You won't know until you try. And your aunt promise to teach you the ways of the queen and be by your side"

"And you?" She says peaking through her fingers.

"You're my ride or die," she says simply, earning a smile from the girl.

"You're my ride or die too" the girl replies hugging her friend.

"What do you say I call for your aunt, and we tell her of our plans?" Mikayla says gently stroking the girl's hair, earning her a gentle nod in response, "I'll be right back" she says leaving the room to call for the queen.

Olivia drops to the bed, face first, letting out a scream, muffled by the white blanket. She stays in that position, her thoughts swaying in her mind, she perks up suddenly, hearing a knock come from her door.

"Come in" she hears herself say, as she stands up on the ground, her posture firm.

Mr. White walks in with a silver tray in his small hands, "I'm sorry to disturb you, your majesty. The queen sends you tea, she said this will calm you down" He says with a gentle smile, that seemed to perk the hairs on her back.

"Oh thanks," she says walking to the small table, where he placed the tea set.

"Drink it while it's hot," He says, placing his hands in his pocket, a camouflage to the small bulge in his front pocket.

"Okay," the princess says, slowly picking the white cup with gold details from the tray, she stops it below her nose, taking a deep breath in, she murmurs in response "this smells good" she replies looking up at the man, patiently watching her.

"Take a sip," He says, with the same smile that perks up the hairs on her back.

Olivia only smiles back, the smooth china meeting the tip of her lips. She dips the tea cup breathing in to take a sip, when the cup shatters in her grip, the warm liquid spilling all over her lap. She stumbles up, frantically swatting at the liquid, not noticing her aunt standing in the doorway, her posture firm and her arm outstretched at the small man suddenly with a dagger in his arms.

"Drop your weapon, Amadeus," she says her eyes glowing gold, and her fingertips gleaming with light.

"And what if I don't?" He taunts, throwing the dagger from one hand to the next.

"Then you will die at your spot," she says a big ball of light energy building at her fingertips.

The man smirks at that but proceeds to bend down, placing the dark dagger with blue emerald on the white ceramic surface. "You won this time, girl. Don't expect I will not be so easy on you next time"

"Thanks for the warning," she says, "Guards! Take him!" She screams summoning two guards in, dragging him out of the room.

"Livie!" Mikayla calls out, running to her friend's arms, hugging the trembling girl.

"What...What is going on?" Olivia manages to breathe out.

"We found Mr. White's body in the wine cellar, That was Amadeus Caballero. The eldest son of Howard Caballero, king of the southern kingdom. He was trying to poison you." the queen explains, walking towards the two girls and joining in the hug.

"What? Why?" Olivia asks, pulling back to see their faces.

"We think he was sent by Howard Caballero" the queen replies, gently stroking the girl's hair.

"Did Noah know?" Olivia manages out, a knot forming in her throat.

"We are not sure" the queen replies, "but most likely he did"

Olivia breaks out in sobs, dropping to her knees. "I'm so sorry livie," Mikayla says, dropping alongside her.

"I hate him. I hate him so much" she says between sobs. gripping tighter to the two women crying with her.

**********

The two boys fly back in silence, not confronting the past, present, or future. They sit on the majestic creature above the clouds, only the sounds of his flapping wings filling the dead silence.

"I see your trip was a disappointment" they hear a voice say before they see the woman from before, Eirene. Her eyes, as blue as the sea, only this time dressed in a feathery pink long gown and Afro pink hair.

"Eirene" Craig says, the hairs on his arms rising with his guard.

"Yes. Eirene" the woman says flying around the blue sky, circling them, "the bad witch"

"What do you want?" The little prince asks, his fingers brushing the edge of his daggers.

"Well, that's rude. And here I thought we were friends" she taunts with a pout, seeing their stony expression she continues with an eye roll, "so what did my sisters say?" She says, gently landing on Zuba's head full of fur.

"About?" The little prince asks.

"Your questions, silly," she says with another eye-roll, preceding to sit cross-legged on the creature's head.

"No," He says crossing his arms over his chest.

"No?" She questions, her head tilting to the side.

"I won't tell you"

"why not?" she says, taken aback.

"Because most of the questions are not ours to tell"

"Then tell me about yours"

"No"

"Ugh. Why?" She says exasperated with the one word. The little prince shrugs in response, earning another grunt from the girl, "you are starting to get on my nerves, little prince"

"Stop calling me little prince," he says, his eyes narrowing at her.

"But haven't you realized? Your so wittle" she says scrunching her fingers in his direction, for emphasis.

"Stop, or I'll.." The little prince begins, his hands moving to his sides, going for his daggers.

"Or you'll what?" The girl taunts, standing up and proceeding to slowly move to the prince, stopping just in front of his scrunched face.

"Arthur don't" they hear the tall boy warn from behind, his eyes not leaving the woman engrossed in pink.

"Yes Arthur, do," she says, with a coy smile, "bop" she continues slowly pressing the tips of his nose while making the sound.

Arthur blinks at the sudden contact, his head flinching back slightly. He turns to look at the mirrored expression of his friend for a moment, before turning to the woman in front of him, "we asked them about the western prince and his use of magic, they only told us you were responsible for it" He finally breaks out, after a deep sigh.

"Me?" She says frowning, "I never assisted the prince with magic" she follows turning from the prince to sit on the creature's head, "what else did they say?"

"Nothing much really, they just said you were responsible for all our questions and we should ask you instead," Craig says, his head poking from the side of his friend's figure.

"Well that's a lost cause there," she says, laying flat on Zuba with a thud, earning a small growl from the creature.

"Why?" The prince asks rubbing at his chin, the new growing stubble rubbing against his fingertips.

"I lost my memories before I was banished from the central world. I was left with no sisters and no memories. No way to defend myself, I didn't even know what I did wrong when they suddenly accused me of these things and banished me with no place to defend myself" she says, silent tears slipping from her eyes, "I don't even know who I am, really"

"Is that why you wear different outfits and hair every time?" Craig asks, earning a punch on his chest from his friend.

"Yeah," she says with a small smile forming on her lips, "that and just because I can," she says turning to the boys with a wink.

"I'm sorry," the little prince says.

Eirene smiles at his sincerity, and her head nods in acceptance, "I'm sorry, too" she says.

"So, where are you going?" The girl jumps up, her tears forgotten as they left.

"Not sure yet, but we're thinking the northern kingdom. Our friend is there" the little prince says, turning to look at his friend for silent confirmation.

"Yea, Olivetti Matador. Can I come?" She perks up, spinning around in the sky.

"You know her, or remember her?" Craig asks, his eyebrows lifting to his hair.

"For some reason, I remember her. I'm her godmother"

**********

"What do you mean you invited them?" Mikayla almost screams out standing up from her chair, accusing eyes burrowed on the queen.

"A royal tried to poison a royal empress, and we have him in custody. I will use this to make treaties" the queen calmly explains, her arms out in a 'calm down' motion.

"What kind of treaty?" Olivia asks.

"A treaty for safety" the queen explains, handing the two girls a piece of paper, "this claims that the northern kingdom will not and shall not be threatened by the other kingdom's, for as long as Ladon stands"

"Will they sign this?" Mikayla asks, looking from one royal to the other.

"It's a chance I am willing to take, Amadeus is the eldest son of the southern kingdom. The south and the west live in unity, and I'm hoping that young boy means as much to king Theodore as he does to his father"

**********

"I have no intention of making peace with the north," the dark king says, his eyes not lifting from the paperwork scattered across his table.

"I beg of you, your majesty" the man pleads, the cold of the ceramic floors digging through his knees. "His mother can't take the loss of another child"

"But he isn't her child, is he?" He taunts, looking up to meet his visitor for the first time, his dominating height still holding strong.

"Please safe my son's life" He begs his chin digging further to his chest.

"You son, was as good as dead the moment he decided to go over my head," He says, setting the pen down gently, "even if I sign the treaty now, I will have him hanged the moment he steps foot in my kingdom grounds"

The man looks up in horror, his tears streaming down his face and disappearing to his face full of beard. "NO! NO!" he screams out standing up from his position.

"Guards!" The kind bellows summoning four guards, "take him out of my sight" he says, causing them to bow dragging the six-foot man out of the office, his screams heard for miles.

"NO, YOU PROMISED ME! YOU PROMISED ME!"

"Was that necessary?" Cameron asks walking into his brother's office.

"Amadeus did treason, he acted on behalf of my name and my kingdom without my orders. And trying to kill a royal" the king scoffs, standing up with a book in his arms and walking to the giant bookshelf to his left.

"Then why did you accept the invitation?" Cameron asks, following his brother with his eyes, hands crossed over his chest.

"Have you heard of the Trojan horse, brother?" He says, his fingers gliding across the books, "it's believed to be a myth, from the other dimension, 'earth' they call it"

"Since when were you interested in earth?" Cameron asks.

"Once in the 13th or 12th century BC" the king continues ignoring his brothers' question, "there lived a great king named Menelaus, the king of Sparta. He was married to a beautiful woman named Helen of Sparta. During that time he had an official visit by the prince of Troy, Paris. What the king didn't know was Paris grew fond of Helen, as she had him"

"Brother I never pegged you for a hopeless romantic" Cameron taunts, his arm flying to his chest.

"So, the prince, on the day of his departure to Troy, sneaks Helen out from Sparta, taking her away from her husband" he continues, yet again ignoring his brother's words, "this of course sends the king of Sparta in an outrage, and he declares war against the city of Troy. But the city was not just a city. Its city was built between great walls, that no enemy can defeat"

"That's your big epiphany? Build a wall?" Cameron asks once again, raising one eyebrow.

"But the army of Sparta did not give up, they fought for days and nights on end, before finally they just left, leaving only a giant wooden horse, this wooden horse was as big as 6 men staked together. The Sparta army left this giant horse, the Trojan horse they call it, as a gift to the city of Troy and its people, as a sign of peace. So the horse was brought inside the city, celebrating its presence as their victory against the great army and their new queen, Helen of Troy"

"Does this story have a plot twist somewhere?"

"And then night came, and the celebration stopped," he says picking a book from the shelf, grazing across the pages, "Every citizen slept that day knowing they were safe, unsuspecting of the 100 armies of Sparta hidden inside the Trojan horse. The army broke out at night, destroying the city of Troy and all its people"

Cameron was quiet then, silently studying the back of the king before him.

"That, brother, is called ambush" he finishes, slamming the book close.

"You are planning to ambush the northern kingdom?"

"I thought I was very clear on that," He says, preceding to sit down on his chair, reading through the book he brought.

"Brother, please. I highly advise you not to" Cameron pleads, resting on the table with his hands.

"The north will pay for the death of our parents. And nothing you say will stop me from achieving that" the king replies looking at the mirroring green eyes.

"The north didn't kill our parents" Cameron almost whispers.

"How do you know that?" The king asks, raising his voice, "Huh?"

"I just do" Cameron stammers out, pushing himself up.

"Well that's not good enough" the king replies, "tomorrow night, the attack on the north will begin. We leave at dawn" He finishes tuning to the book on his table.

"Brother.." Cameron begins.

"Leave" He orders, not looking at the prince.

Cameron turns to leave, his arms placed on the cold golden knob before he starts with a big sigh, "You will regret this brother" he says quietly walking out.
