"Have you ever wondered why the god or goddess of fate is always referred to as one of the weakest deities among all celestials?" he asked his sister.
"I suppose it's because the only power we can offer is our ability to reveal fate for the good of those who seek its favor," she replied, and upon hearing her answer, the former god held back the urge to laugh again.
"No, little one," he replied, "that is not the reason why." "The reason why is because we are not permitted to use our power to its fullest."
As he said this, he came closer to her and placed a finger on the crystal that was carved into her forehead. It was the totem that embodied everything that the Masters of Fate had given her. It was the sign that she was the anointed vessel for them, the oracle of fate to the gods.
The moment he touched it, the crystal began to glow. She was surprised it did so, as she had never even thought of doing that before.
