Preparation

"Mom, can I just ask one thing?" Dan said with heavy sincerity

"What?"

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"You try tell your kid you were a world-class assassin." She said rhetorically

"Fair point. Now what?"

"Weren't you looking for your dad?" Heath reminded

"The ring, right?" Ava said

"Yeah, he just needs one more." Dan referring to Shujim

"Have you guys heard from Derrick?" Cathy said

All of them shook their heads.

"Shujin is planning to repeat history. He's going to destroy Bright. All three of them."

"Can he do it?"

"Alone? Probably, he is a Supreme-rank after all."

Ava looks at Cathy, "aren't you..." Cathy shook her head in response.

"But he has a group of his own. According to Derrick, Ablaze the one from Idly City is also a Supreme-rank."

"Well, our odds?"

"Counting King Corruption who was an army of beasts, an unknown speedster—Shift, Terror, and Cryo... I'd say were equal 50-50. We have Kai, and his brother."

"My family will help too." Laura proposed confidentally

"Good. If Derrick and Nate could make it work, we'll have their family's help too." Cathy said

"Who's he?" Dan asked

"Nate's brother." She replied

"Owh, he found him. That's good." Dan said happily

"Are we all in play?" Heath asked Cathy

"Yes. We're planning to split our forces. We'll have everyone evacuated by then. Hopefully."

"Evacuating three cities? To where? How?"

"We've already started evacuating. We'll start from C to B to A."

"When are they attacking?"

"I don't know. Hopefully after we're all set."

"What do we now?"

"Train. Train like your life fucking depends on it. Because it will."

"Should I help?" Yui looked at Heath

"No, Yui. You're not a combatant. Just stay here, stay safe, and provide intel. Go look for the Manipulator. That's the only thing I want you to help."

"Okay, I'll get to it."

Yui left to her room and starts looking for the Manipulator. Cathy went to train Dan and Heath. Ava wanted to talk with Laura.

The things to come will be something they'll have to be absolutely prepared for. They weren't told to apprehend these criminals, rather to kill them on sight if they can. The quicker the enemy forces lessen, the better.
