The Elves moved swiftly after their victory, knowing their task was far from over. Adrien, Billy, and their warriors regrouped, taking only a brief moment to catch their breath before pressing onward.

The valley behind them still bore the scars of their battle but its oppressive darkness had lifted, and the land seemed to sigh with relief. After this, hopefully the dying land will continue its live again.

They continued eastward, climbing over craggy hills and weaving through forests of twisted and petrified trees. The landscape grew increasingly desolate. Jagged rocks jutted from the earth like broken teeth and the soil beneath their boots was cracked and ashen, bearing the weight of a land corrupted by the Great Calamity's presence.

The air was heavy with the stench of decay, and even the wind seemed to whisper warnings of danger.
