Curse Bearer! (revise)

Currently, inside a dimly lit room, a young boy was studying a map.

Hmm, very weird. Was Earth this big originally, or is this map just zoomed in? There are a lot of new islands I don't recognize and countries I've never even heard of. Is this really the Earth I know? oh my gosh looking at this make my head spinning

The room was cluttered with old books, maps, and various gadgets Danial had collected over the past years. He had managed to piece together a rudimentary understanding of this world's geography, which seemed both familiar and alien.

outside the room, Danial's mother Lili, was staring at his son scratching his small head thinking how cute he is.

Meanwhile, at the empty shopping mall...

"Sir Hassan, I'm very curious about these curse bearers. How can they still use their powers without making a contract with the devil?" Alex asked, trying to suppress his unease in the eerie silence and dim lighting.

"It's not surprising. They may not use devil contracts, but they can use humans as mediums," Hassan replied calmly, his eyes scanning the dark corridors ahead.

"What do you mean by that?" Alex's curiosity was tinged with nervous excitement.

"You'll understand once we're there, Mage Alex," Hassan said, picking up the pace.

As they jogged silently, a woman's scream pierced the air.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Hassan's eyes darkened with urgency. " Alex, let's hurry! We may be too late if we don't rush now!"

"I understand! Let's go; we'll make it in time to save the woman!" Alex's voice was firm, though he could sense Hassan's hesitation.

Hassan was silent for a moment, his face set in a grim expression.

"What's wrong, Sir Hassan?"

"The one who may need help is probably not the woman," Hassan said quietly.

"What do you—" Alex began, but Hassan was already speeding up, cutting off further questions.

The darkness in the shopping mall was disorienting, but Hassan moved with a confidence that startled Alex.

Even a Tier 5 mage like me would find it challenging to move at this speed in the dark. The prowess of the Tigers Guild can't be underestimated. I'll have to report this back to the higher-ups so the politicians don't meddle with them, Alex thought, struggling to keep up.

Suddenly, something flew towards them with terrifying speed.

"ALEX! Dodge!" Hassan shouted.

"Huh?! Oh shi—Aurora Barrier!"

A sphere of light enveloped Alex just as the object collided with the barrier. The impact caused no shock, revealing the sturdiness of his defense. Yet, Alex's face turned pale at the sight: a half-body corpse of an adult male, drenched in blood, stuck to his barrier.

"Bl—blood and a human? What is happening?" Alex stammered, horrified.

"Alex, stay calm! I know people from the Tower are used to gore, lets put the corpse aside for now. We have someone to deal with first."

After a moment, Alex steadied himself. Suddenly, a wave of bloodlust filled the area, and a beautiful woman, appearing to be in her twenties, emerged from the shadows.

"Oh my, does this shock you? And here I was preparing more surprises for you people to enjoy. I guess all the interesting ideas I came up with were for naught. Isn't that right, child?" she said, caressing the face of a child in her arms.

"YOU WITCH! Whose child have you taken? How dare you use an innocent child as a hostage!" Alex shouted, his anger rising.

"Alex, don't waste your breath. That child... is no longer alive," Hassan said, his voice cold.

The woman laughed maniacally, tossing the lifeless child aside like garbage. Alex's rage reached a boiling point.

"pft AHAHAHAHA, oh my it seems like we have someone with a sense of justice here? perhaps then~ what if i kill some more children for you?~"

" YOU WITCH!"

Hassan launched himself at the woman with a ferocious punch. She dodged lightly, but—

"O light that shines brighter in darkness, purify the filth and send the judgment, LIGHTNING PIERCE!" Alex chanted, sending a bright, sharp lightning bolt at her.

The woman's face twisted into a creepy smile, unafraid. "It seems I lack blood. My child, help your mommy here."

A horde of eyeless human babies materialized around her, shielding her from the attack. Hassan didn't waste a moment and unleashed a relentless stream of blows, causing debris to fly and obscuring her vision.

"Oh my gosh, how truly inelegant! How can such a human wield such brute force? GAHHH?!!"

KABOOM!!

Before she could finish her taunt, Hassan had already kicked her from behind, sending her crashing into the wall and cracking it.

"ALEX! Hurry and use something to seal her!"

As a Tier 5 Mage, Alex's efficiency was terrifying. However, their opponent wasn't giving them time.

"CURSE YOU ALL! HOW DARE A MERE INSECT DO THIS TO ME! I WILL DRAG YOU ALL TO DEATH WITH ME!"

'Blood Splatter'

"HASSAN! Are you alright? Give me a second; I'll heal you," Alex shouted, moving towards him.

"NO!! Cough Cough Hurry and seal her! This is a curse she put on me. There are only two methods to break it: purify or destroy. We need to kill her before she finishes the curse!" Hassan yelled, his voice strained.

"NO YOU DON'T, INSECT!!!!" The woman screamed, her body distorting grotesquely, blood seeping from every orifice.

"It's now or never."

"O judgment of mana, I seek your guidance in returning what rightfully belongs to nature. Mana, condense and disperse, become the explosion that will light the path. ANEMO EXPLOSION!"

KABOOOM!!!!!!

A huge explosion shook the surroundings, making everyone outside the shopping mall tense.

Inside the command room...

"What's happening? Give me an explanation," General Ropi demanded, pacing anxiously.

"Yes, General. It seems like an explosion has occurred on the west side of the building. We believe it is the work of magic!"

"I know it's an explosion already! Tell me something I don't know, you fools! But still, magic? It must be Alex. Deploy all personnel surrounding the area. Ensure everyone is on high alert."

"Yes, sir!"

Hassan, Alex, both of you, please be alive!

At that moment, no one knew the true fate of Hassan and Alex.
