Tower Of Trial!!

while converse with Charlotte, Danial was pretty curious to what kind of battle will occurred.

however to his disappointment since this was Charlotte first time, she also doesn't know what kind of challenge will be given then a fatty come in explaining.

"I can explain! did you know, this kind of prodigies gathering will always compared their magic abilities by sharing knowledge research or displaying spell as form of competition but in state of emergency they will change this to battle oriented competition!"

Danial still feel that his question is unanswered so he direct the point

"fuh, alright usually the type of battle will be held are 1 on 1 fight, group fight or maybe battle royal sometimes on a rare occasion they will do a survival battle.

for now since we are facing terrorist as a threat then I guess it will be group fight since they need this generation mage to learn cooperate together to fight a larger threat!"

Charlotte who had been listening since earlier speak

"how can you be so sure! I'm sorry but I think it will be battle royal and this is not baseless guess because from my experience dealing with them we never know who is the enemy and the fight had a lot of variable making it far more complex than just a group fight"

Standing in front of you right know is the tower of trial, of course it just imitation generate from magic spell and Artificial reality technology even so we managed to copy it to 70 percent of competition so it very close to real thing.

inside it are 50 floor and each on the floor are various kind of dimension that exist. When one enter the floor to go upward to the next floor one must defeat the boss or complete the challenge on the floor. Each person are separate from each other but you can also enter as a group but remember the difficulty will also be increased proportionally."

after hearing the speech everyone become excited against the new challenge

"CHILDREN! this is not a game!!" at that time with a powerful aura bursting from the vice clock tower mage, Steven Raul everyone become silence once again

"Children I repeat this is not a game, even though the tower adjust the strength according to your individual prowess and even though it just a simulation we still never know what kind of danger might occurred so do be very careful!"

after ending the speech Charlotte and Danial look at each other and nodded. Fangzhi who don't know what are they trying to do ask them.

"what are you guys nodding on each other for?"

Danial replied

"well we are gonna clear the tower as a pair. wanna join in?"

"what!!? are you mad, don't you hear what they say when the difficulty increase when you enter as a group?? are you sure you can clear it and made it up to the top 30?"

"calm down fatty! we know that so get off me first"

after distancing himself Fangzhi calm himself and ask again

"are you sure about this my friend?"

Danial chuckle and Charlotte just snort at Fangzhi statement before she replied

"let me tell you this, we are 100 percent sure to be on the top!"

hearing the proclamation, Fangzhi was in awe even though Charlotte sound arrogant to others to him who know both of them are super genius, it sound more reliable instead.

"fine I will go with you guys"

suddenly he was interrupted with an urgent voice from the side

"um...umm excuse me!! can I ..... can I also join!!?"

Charlotte was delighted when she look at the person

" Sally you also want to join? we are happy to have you as a teammate!"

Sally Anastasia the girl who Charlotte protect last night

suddenly as been disturbed by the noise a huge monster appeared before them. Having a lion head, a lizard scale covering his body and snake as it tail. 4 of them petrify by the sight before suddenly its start attacking

Danial shouted waking everyone

"DODGE!!!"

'crack' the floor where the scaly paw land leave a huge crater on it.

"Charlotte,Fatty and Sally, you guys move to surround it and then attack, I will distract this monster"

"DANIAL! it's a chimera it has certain resistance toward element magic, use pure magic instead!"

as a trading merchant son, Wong Fangzhi knowledge is very broad so with a glance he know what kind of monster it is and how to fight it but he didn't know the exact weak spot of this creature

Sally panicked and ask Charlotte

"miss Charlotte what should we do??? is it ok to leave Danial like that"

however before she could even have the chance to worrying a loud sound as a huge boulder colliding with each other could be heard. She was surprised to found out that the large chimera which seem very sturdy at the moment was thrown back few meter after the clashing.

Danial standing in a horse stance while mana covering around him look like a huge unmovable boulder to her.

Fangzhi eye shine seeing the scene while Charlotte only give a glance before ordering the two of them

"Both of you hurried up to the position, Sally please buff us and Danial, Fatty Fangzhi use the most powerful attack spell you have and synchronize with me"

"But I just a tier 1 mage! plus if I want to use more powerful spell I need to add fire or lightning element to it which I can't do, I specialized in earth magic!"

However Charlotte pay him no mind

"doesn't matter just try your best, Sally you can start chanting!"

After that, while fighting Danial could feel a surge of power coming through inside making him feel more light.

Looking at the mad beast, he grinned before launch a strike

"earth tiger hidden move, METEOR PALM!"

boom' another huge impact cause by the clashing and this time the chimera start to spouting blood showing that it receive a lot of internal damage while Danial who received the buff only slightly shaky

'to think I can still fight after using the meteor palm!? just how strong the buff magic casted in me? usually I would already exhausted and my body can't withstand the impact so I goes into weak mode after using meteor palm but to think I can still fight again and what's more it feels like I can use it once more.'

Feels like it was being humiliated by the ant who fear it just a moment ago the chimera eye turn red. A huge aura start to emit from its body however before it can finish the transformation

" CUT IT TO PIECE! JUDGEMENT OF THE RADIANT WHEEL!!"

a large chakram made of light spinning at terrifying speed, split the beast in two and with that the fight end just like that.

Sally and Fangzhi eye open wide staring at the split up chimera before looking at Charlotte who appear slightly weak, when the first light wheel appear it was indeed big but only at human size however after the buff and the staff Charlotte pull out of nowhere the wheel become brighter and larger while spinning at terrifying speed resulting in the current situation.

after that the 4 of them chat a bit for their strategy and role before finally decide which position they will be

Danial : frontline Fighter/tank

Fangzhi : mid support/tank

Charlotte : rear Damage dealer/AOE

Sally : rear Buff/heal

after that the party move to the second floor

floor 2

"wow this its minotaur huh and there is 12 of them maybe the tower make it 12 because we have four here."

with a light heart tone Danial casually look at the intimidating minatour

Sally pale when she think each one of them need to fight 3 minotaur at least but that imagination was destroyed by Charlotte

"stop fooling around Danial we already discussed it, just gather them around, sally amplified my magic to the limit. we are gonna clean it in one swoop!"

in just 30 minute the floor was cleared thanks the team role.

floor 3

"KYAAA NOOOO"

"oh come on Charlotte it just an elder centipede it so big that can't be label as insect why are you afraid of it!!?"

"NO MEANS NO! you idiot hurry up and defeat it already"

Danial who was helpless with Charlotte usual behavior finally defeated the elder centipede monster with Fangzhi and Sally help but it take them around 1 hour which is double the earlier time.

floor 4

a huge golem appear and currently running berserk destroying everything on sight

"Damn it, who create this kind of dangerous thing"

Fangzhi replied to Danial comment while panting

"hah hah in the middle period of humanity, hah war is common occurrence so in order to reduce the loss they use golem hah"

"Fatty hurry and keep it up with me! also tell us what the weakness not the history!!"

Charlotte who also frantically running around look at the idiot before reply

"you... you definitely sleep in my class aren't you!!? How many time I need to tell you magic device need a source of energy to operate, that means it need a core which supply the energy to it and this principle can be applied on the golem too"

Fatty and Sally look at each other before began to think what kind of monster these two are, to be able to converse calmly while running at the same time dodging every attack perfectly while protecting them at the same time

they finally manage to defeat the golem in an hour 10 minute thanks to fatty earth detecting magic finding the core location.

floor 5

arriving at floor 5 a large ice giant was sitting on the throne.

looking at the high and mighty appearance of this giant the kids feels intimidated however not to the point of shocked since they temperament and will start to become stronger

preparing to fight the ice giant took his axe and ready to swing however he was cut into half by a black slash

everyone become shocked

"huh what happened!!?"

"Hey fatty is this part of the trial? why is the boss monster already defeated when we done nothing yet"

Sally who had a higher mana sense than everyone start to shout

"EVERYONE BE CAREFUL SOMETHING IS APPROACHNG!!"

"huh!!?"

the atmosphere become tense they could feel the mana start to surge in front of them and then portal appeared before them.

a knight wearing jet black armor come out of the portal and suddenly the surrounding turn heavier. Danial and Charlotte still could resist a bit however Sally and Fangzhi already lied down on their bellies

finally the black knight speak

"ARE YOU AFRAID OF ME!?"
