Chapter 15- Uncover

"Who are you interrupting my job?" Anjana asked angrily while watching the direction of the road.

On the road, several horsemen were running in the direction of the village council. One of a horseman was taking the lead of them and it seemed to they were taking a large distance to come here. After they came to the place of village council they first worshipped grand thero getting off their horses.

"Who are these devotees?" grand thero asked.

"Thero, we are royal guards who were sent under the order of general Bandula. We come here to investigate some facts" the chief guard of the group replied.

"Oh! What are you going to investigate?" grand thero asked with curious eyes.

"Ho, you are royal guards who came from the capital. So why are you stopping me from doing my job? I am also helping the kingdom" Anjana said with a pleasant expression. He knew that currently, he could not make some disagreement between them and him. Because both his father and son were not favored by both ruling times and he tried to make favorable expressions in these people to get some good marks from them to get acknowledged higher up in government.

"What helps the kingdom? Who are you to handle law in this way?" the chief of the royal guard group asked Anjana without giving any face with a stern voice.

"Lord, this is the son of lord Mahanama who is the ruler of Kalaa county," the village chief said humbly with some afraid. Because both parties were powerful enough to make trouble for him. So he could not afford to make some displeasure in both parties. So he wanted to make peace between both parties.

"Huh…what an arrogant man. After this is over I will surely teach some lessons to him" Anjana thought angrily but not showed it to outward and kept a happy expression to others.

"Oh! It is the young lord of Kalaa County. I want to ask why you are behaving like this in here?" the chief asked in an unconcerned manner.

"Is there anything wrong? I am trying to catch a royal traitor on behalf of the kingdom"  Anjana said in a proud voice.

"Oh! Tell me who is this traitor? How that person became a royal traitor" the chief asked in a mild tone.

"Fellow friend, this master Migara is the royal traitor I am going to catch on the crime of hiding a descendent of the previous king. "  Anjana said with confidence.

"What? When became descendent of the previous king become a criminal? When did the king order to apprehend them? I never heard that kind of order." The chief said in an angry voice.

"What, my fellow friend? How could it not be? The previous king had done many crimes. So descendents of his also should bear the name of criminals. Also keeping a person like that alive will become a threat to the king. So whether the king said it or not that is the fact. So I am trying to help the kingdom by catching them" Anjana tried to explain himself. He could not believe the king never ordered to catch descendants of the previous king to eradicate the threat to him.

"How could you disrespect our king? Our king never wanted to kill descendants of  the previous king. We only get orders to find the little princess and take her to the palace. She will surely get the same facilities as a royal family member without any neglect. Also, the king never wanted to abolish her status as a princess too. So she is still our royal princess. You can't apprehend as a criminal ever" the chief replied in an angry voice and all villagers wondered at hearing this. Even  Anjana also wondered after hearing this.

"What? How could it be?" Anjana muttered himself.

"Master Migara, I came here to confirm the identity of your daughter. According to our investigation, the girl you bought from the capital may be our little princess. So it that is true we will surely treat the master well, for doing great service to the kingdom by protecting a royal family member. So master, please unravel the truth of your daughter for us, please" the chief asked from Migara while greeting him.

"As I said before that girl is my biological daughter. As for the name it was given by the mother of my daughter. She was born in the capital in the same month that princess Mahamantha was born. After giving birth her mother was at weak condition so I had to take care of her. That's why I became late coming this time. So I hope it is enough to clarify the identity of my daughter" Migara explained the whole situation to everyone with a calm voice.

"Then who is the mother of that girl? What is her identity? Why are you keeping hiding those things so far? " Anjana said in a sarcastic tone .

"Yes master, as young lord said we want to know the identity of her mother. As for official clarification, I want to ask is there a written document of childbirth?" the chief asked from Migara with doubtful eyes.

"Lord, it is connected with the future life of my daughter. It is really hard to say to me " Migara said in difficulty.

"Master, why are you keep hiding those facts? Is there any secret?" the chief asked angrily. Migara looked at the royals guards for some moment and took a deep breath while sighing.

"Lord, it seems this can't be further. So I tell you everything to you. My daughter is born from courtesan and she was a …slave" Migara said in a dispirited voice .
