Chapter 3
"Father, what are you doing?" Mantha said
while looking at work of her father.
"I am creating pavilion of idols for your
first letter reading ceremony "Migara said happily. By looking at pavilion it
was shown that it was created from wood. As well as this wood structure was beautified
with excellent wood carvers. There were several stages created in this pavilion,
especially for place idols and symbols. Also, there were added clothes that were
painted with beautiful artwork and they were placed on the pavilion meticulous
way by creating a situation for viewers that pushed them to take a second look.
"Father, this is so beautiful," Mantha said
with an excited expression.
"Yes, my little girl should get the most
festive first letter reading ceremony, "Migara said with doting eyes.
"Hum, my father is being partial to my
sister, "Sumana said with a fake angry voice.
"So what? Daughters should be pampered. I
am pampering her. Do you have anything to say?" Migara retorted at his son.
"Wuuu…My father has only my sister in his
eyes. I am going to neglect. "Sumana said with a sad voice.
"Don't worry about brother. I will take
care of you" Mantha said to her brother.
"My sister is the only one who remembers
me. I will depend on you" Sumana said with a happy smile.
"Okay, I will take care of you. What is the
gift you are going to give me on the ceremony day?" Mantha asked.
"You girl, why do you so care about these
gifts? You got a beautiful dress made from silk clothes for your birthday. No
one in the village has this kind of dress. Many envy about that. What are you
still not satisfying?" Sumana said in a helpless voice.
"I like gifts. You are giving me gifts.
What's wrong in asking about them beforehand?" Mantha said in a childish voice.
"Indeed. Why are you shouting about what my
baby got or will get? Whatever I want I will give her anyway. You should not
look at those with gloomy eyes and prepare a good gift for your little sister."
Migara said with threatened voice. After hearing this Sumana said "Father, you
are being biased" with baffled look. After were seeing that face others started to
laugh at him.
"Why are you all laughing at me? Is there
funny to see my father bullying this son?" Sumana said in aggrieved voice.
"No, young master. We are happy about
masters having good time together "Neela said while smiling.
"Okay. Okay. You all can smile at me. I
don't care of you all" Sumana said unconcerned manner.
"It's okay brother. I know my brother loves
me most "Mantha said to Sumana with her sweet voice.
"Okay, brother will give you special gift
to you on the day of ceremony. "Sumana said in happy face.
"You girl! Then what about me? You said
before that I am the person who loves you most "Migara said in aggrieved voice
while looking at Sumana with threatening eyes. Looking at those eyes Sumana was
become somewhat afraid but as being a new cub who doesn't understand what's
afraid looked at her sister with happy expression.
"Oh… my farther is the person who loves me
most most" Mantha answered her father.
"Hum…you girl! You really know how to coax
others" Migara said in helplessly.
"It seems our little miss is very
intelligent "Neela said proud face.
"Indeed. Whose daughter, is she?" Janthu
said as if adding part for phrase of Neela.
"Yes. Indeed…" Migara agreed their words
with smiling face.
