"Dr.G told us to order from the noodle shop and it's her treat !!" Stanley exclaimed to the group. Food is the real stress buster in this world. Food can easily soothe one's heart instantly and give a lot of joy both mentally and physically. For a few minutes, they all forgot about the whole rumor thing and focused on what they will have for dinner with much delight. Stanley quickly placed the order for all of them and sent a message to Gianna, 'Order has been placed Dr.G. Will let you know once the food is delivered. I have transferred the remaining amount to your account.'
When the residents were distracted by ordering food, Zane did some thinking and asked the group excitedly, "Guys, if Dr.G is really dating, don't you think she should be having dinner with Dr.Jason rather than you all?" His question got them excited and believed that the rumor was false after all. "But what if they wanted to have dinner outside and not some takeout in the hospital and agreed to have dinner when both don't have a night shift?" Ralph pointed out his doubt to the group.
Yet, again their hope was shattered by his statement of doubt. The group glared at Ralph for always bringing up something negative. Zane was irritated by Ralph's statement and stood up to leave when Victor blurted out, "I really hope Dr.G doesn't end up with Dr.Jason." All looked at Victor simultaneously with surprise. The group didn't know why Victor thought that way.
'Don't tell me that Victor has a crush on Gianna!! No!! It can't be!! Maybe he said that out of admiration towards her. Yes!! It can only be out of admiration!!' Zane's mind went wild for a second there. As Victor was immersed in his thoughts, he felt stares on him and looked up to realize that he blurted out his thoughts aloud. From their expression he was totally sure that they heard him crystal clear.
Victor looked at them with an awkward smile and said, "It's not that Dr.Jason is not a good person but when compared to Dr.G I feel, he lacks in many things. We all know her abilities and how everyone admires her. So, I just think he is not the right match for her." Zane was relieved and was happy that he was right about Victor's admiration towards Gianna. They all nodded approvingly at his reply.
Ralph also chimed in saying, "I agree with Dr.Ralph. I don't think there is any guy in this world who can handle Dr.G. If at all, there is someone, is there a possibility for Dr.G to meet him if she stays at the hospital 24/7?."
"I can't even imagine what kind of person Dr.G's soulmate would be!! He would be super - skilled, super- smart, good in martial arts more than all, he would be extremely good looking !! In short he should be some kind of God that can handle our Goddess." said Alice. Everyone sighed thinking whether there is a person like that in this world. Zane made a mental note that he will screen out every single man who is not a match for her.
Not far away from the hospital, in a suite room, a man in his early thirties was having a sit down with his two men, when his left ear started to itch all of a sudden. The man to the left noticed his captain being irritated and sticking his little finger to his ear. He asked with concern, "What happened to your ear?"
"Nothing, my left ear started to itch all of a sudden." said the captain, still sticking his ear with his finger. The man on the right side said, "I think someone is praising you." "Praising?? What does itching have to do with praise?" asked the captain with a confused look. "I have often heard that if someone praises you, your left ear itches and if someone talks ill about you, your right ear itches," said the man on the right side with a smile on his face. The captain laughed and chucked the man's words thinking it was just a load of crap.
Back in the hospital, the food was delivered within forty minutes and Stanley informed Dr.G to come over for dinner. They cleared out the table and placed the food on it, before Dr.G arrived. Gianna's nose was filled with savory aroma as soon as she stepped inside the room. She quickly moved to the table to fill her growling stomach. All took their seats and started to gobble up the food placed in front of them like they have never seen food in their life.
Gianna asked about their preparations for their upcoming exams and other details about training, now and then while eating. Every time she asked them a question they only answered to the point and didn't converse much back. Gianna noticed that the usually cheerful group was dull and hesitant, that night. She sneaked a look at everyone's face, one by one and felt something was bothering them, especially Victor. She waited for them to finish their dinner to inquire about it.
After some time, each one let out a groan of satisfaction and thanked Dr.G for buying them the delicious dinner. Throughout the dinner, Victor's tongue itched to ask Dr.G about the rumor but he didn't have enough courage to bring the matter up. None of them liked how others were talking about Dr.G but they couldn't do anything to clear up the confusion. Their only solution was to ask Dr.G but no one knew how she would react and that made it difficult for them to approach her. The remains of the dinner on the table were cleared up and the group was having coffee to give a finishing touch for the night.
Gianna looked at each one while drinking her coffee and thought, 'I am sure Victor and Ralph would give good excuses if I ask them what was bothering them all. Alice is very good at covering up even though she is young but Stanley can never lie to me. He is the perfect target to direct my question at.' She placed her coffee cup on the table and looked at everyone.
