Chapter - 50 - Hell’s door

"Why are you up so late, Dad?" asked Gianna in a sweet voice. "I just wanted to remind my daughter that her family is still alive." Gianna chuckled and said, "I am really sorry that I didn't call you. You know how busy I am at the hospital." "That's the reason I called to remind you rather than complain." "Oh I forgot! Aren't you Mr.Salvatore, the smart cookie." Mr.Salvatore laughed loudly and asked, "Are you taking care of yourself? If you feel tired you can come back home any time. We are all here for you. Don't ever forget that! "

"Of course Dad! I am healthy as a horse. Don't worry about me. Also, send me all of your reports once you get the results of your yearly checkups." "How did you know we did our yearly checkup?" "Your daughter is aware of everything!" Mr.Salvatore laughed again but his phone was snatched away by Mrs.Salvatore. "You don't care about your mother?" asked Mrs.Salvatore in a disappointed tone. "Who said I don't care?! My mother is the only person I care about!"

"Then what about the patients lying in the ICU?" asked a young man through the phone. Gianna fell silent and pursed her lips. "Mom, it's high time to know that she is lying!" said the young man. "Cut it off Gian! Mom, didn't you tell me that I should be a doctor who is better at caring than earning?" Mrs.Salvatore smiled and said, "Yes! My daughter should be a doctor who earns respect rather than earns money. You are doing a good job. Keep it up. Me and your Dad are really proud of you."

"Thank you, Mom! Gian, I thought of buying the latest shoe model of MC footwear but I guess I don't have to now." "NOOOOO!!!" Both the Salvatores and Gianna had to move away from the phone because of the sudden scream. "You are the best sister in this whole world!!! I love you more than anyone and I will protect you with all my might. Please buy it for me. Please, my lovely sister!" said Gian Salvatore in a determined voice.

All the three laughed hearing Gian's pleas and talked for a few more minutes before ending the call. "Okay then. Take care of your health and don't skip your meals. We all love you." said Mr.Salvatore before bidding her goodbye. Gianna let out a sigh looking at the dark screen. 'I miss them more after speaking to them. OHHH SHITTT!!! Didn't I just speak in Velarian, this whole time????' Gianna hit her head and sprinted towards the door.

Gianna cracked the door a little and looked through the crack but Rick was not in the living room. She walked with light steps towards the bedroom and saw him sleeping soundly on the bed. "Phew" Gianna let out a huge sigh and went back to the study room.

Meanwhile, in a mansion, "Search every nook and corner of that area but do not harm any one." said Mr.Richard Ellerbrock in a commanding voice. "We have to find that man at any cost. Take as many men you can and search the whole area and possible routes he could have gone. Don't even waste a single moment, also send a few men to the hospital premises and tell them to stay alert." The subordinates responded and left as soon as possible in search of the man.

A dozen vans stopped in the entrance of the area and many men in black suits alighted from the vans. The leader signaled them to assemble in front of him and said to the group, "We lost that man in the forest which is behind this area. So listen properly, check every single apartment in this area. Don't be rash and ask for the resident's cooperation with politeness. We are not here to harm anyone and we don't have the right. Do you all understand?" "Yes captain" shouted the group in unison.

The group split in various directions and started knocking at every door which was visible. The group was really determined to find the man and they wouldn't even hesitate to knock at the hell's door. The search kept going for hours and hours.

It was almost seven in the evening and Gianna switched off her monitor to make herself a cup of coffee. Rick was still asleep, so she closed the bedroom door and walked towards the kitchen in light steps. As she was filling water in the kettle she heard her doorbell ringing.

'I think Mrs.Rogers is here. I hope she doesn't spout out any nonsense.' thought Gianna as she walked towards the door but she saw two men in black suits standing in front of her door in the monitor. 'It's good that I took a look at the monitor. Who could this be?' wondered Gianna as she moved cautiously to open the door.

Rick's eyes flew open as soon as he heard the sound of the doorbell. He walked quickly to open the door to alert Gianna but he was a little late because Gianna was already moving towards the door. He couldn't shout because it would alert whoever was present on the other side of the door so he sprinted as fast as he could to stop Gianna from opening the door.

"Dr.G!!!" Gianna turned as she heard a loud whisper calling out her name while still holding the handle of the door. Rick couldn't control his speed and ended up pushing Gianna against the wall while his body was leaning on hers without any gap in between them.

Gianna was stunned by his actions and looked at him with wide open eyes. Rick felt her two soft hands on his chest and slowly looked down at her pretty eyes, completely forgetting his purpose for making such a scene. Gianna felt his strong chest under her hands which made her cheeks flush.

Rick noticed her flushed cheeks and couldn't resist his urge to touch her attractive rosy lips. Gianna has never been so close with a man ever before and felt her energy slowly draining. Rick on the other hand was on the same boat and found it difficult to control his manly urge.
