"You are bleeding!!" screamed Zane as he laid out the first aid kit. Gianna chuckled and said, "It's just a small cut! Why are you all overreacting?" Zane cut her sleeve and took a look at the cut. "Do you call this a small cut, Dr. Gianna Williams? It would at least need four or five stitches!" exclaimed Zane. Gianna was taken aback by the sudden mention of her full name and sat there quietly.
Zane started sanitizing the wound when Dr.Henry, Dr.Jason, and the security head entered the room. "Are you alright, Gianna?" asked Dr.Henry. "Of course, she is not!" exclaimed Zane. Gianna patted his hand signaling him to stop.
Gianna smiled and assured Dr.Henry that she was fine. Dr.Jason turned green with jealousy when he saw Zane treating her wound. "Doctor, can I ask you a few questions?" asked the security head. Gianna nodded in response.
Gianna narrated her part of the story to the security head and asked him to wait till the bodyguards regained their consciousness to know the whole story. The security took a note and headed outside after instructing two of his men to guard the door. Dr.Henry, Dr.Jason, and other staff also left the room soon after. "It will hurt, and don't move your arm," said Dr.Zane as he started to stitch the wound.
Gianna nodded and laughed as she saw Alice crying silently. "Why are you crying, Alice?" Alice slowly started to cry loudly after hearing the question, and the initially tense room was filled with laughter. "What if something happened to you? Why do you always have to fight instead of calling out for help?" asked Alice, in between her cries. "You are right! How did I forget to scream for help?" said Gianna, chuckling.
"Look! Even Alexander is laughing at you. I will tell you good news if you stop crying," said Gianna as she looked at her deep cut.
Alice immediately stopped crying and looked at Gianna with puppy eyes. "I broke that man's left shoulder," said Gianna casually. Zane paused his movements and looked at Gianna. "You broke his arm?" asked Zane and others in unison. Gianna smiled and looked at Alexander. They all looked at Alexander and saw him laughing. "Broke," said Alexander, still laughing. "I am telling you the truth! Everyone came in listening to the useless fool wailing when his shoulder bone was broken."
'"Now I can sleep well as I know he is in more pain than Dr.G!" said Ralph, smiling brightly. The others also nodded in agreement. 'Why does she sound so natural when she said she broke his arm? She does sound like a professional who is into hurting people! She doesn't even feel the pain when I am stitching her up! Who is she really?' thought Dr.Zane, as he finished bandaging her wound.
"Dr.G, please don't get hurt anymore!" said Dr.Zane in a low voice near her ear. She looked at him and smiled. "Okay, you all can leave now. I will stay with Alexander till his bodyguards come back," said Gianna as she moved her chair near the bed.
'How can she still think about me even after all she went through? She is the only one who truly cares for me! I will treat her like my big sister maybe because we have the same eye colour! Hehehe. Once I regain my strength, I will do anything in my power to protect her!' thought Alexander. The team hesitated to leave her alone and stood there without moving even an inch.
"Should I kick you all out?" asked Gianna as she leaned on the chair. They bade them good night immediately and left the room. "Finally, we have some peace! You can relax now and sleep without any worries," said Gianna as she adjusted his blanket. Alexander blinked his eyes once, but he kept staring at Gianna. "Do you have something to tell?" asked Gianna.
Alexander blinked his eyes once. Gianna thought for a second and asked, "If it is about the earlier incident, then stop thinking about it." Alexander frowned at her. Gianna chuckled and said, "I am glad you are fine, so go to sleep now." The door suddenly opened, and Gianna saw Mr.Ellerbrock and a few of his men entering through the door.
Mr.Ellerbrock was shocked to hear the attack on his grandson and came hurriedly to the hospital. He dashed into the door and saw a heart-touching scene. Gianna was shielding Alexander by standing in front of him, with stretched-out arms.
Gianna let her guard down and sat on the chair as she saw who entered the room. Mr.Ellerbrock came in and checked his grandson. Alexander smiled at him and said, "I'm good." Mr.Ellerbrock was happy to hear him talk and hugged him.
There was another knock on the door, and Gianna saw Alice walking toward her. "Dr.G, I brought you a top to change." Gianna only then realized her top was full of blood stains. Gianna smiled and said, "Thank you so much! Call me if there is any emergency." said Gianna as she received the top. "Dr.Henry will be staying at the hospital for the night and told not to disturb you in case of emergency," informed Alice and left the room after bidding her good night.
"Did you get hurt?" asked Mr.Ellerbrock as he moved close to her. He saw a bandage on her left arm and blood stains on her top. "I am good," said Gianna as she went into the washroom to change her top. Mr.Ellerbrock felt bad, and at the same time, he was happy knowing that Gianna put her life at stake to protect his grandson. Gianna came out and sat on her chair again.
"How is my grandson, Dr.Gianna?" asked Mr.Ellerbrock.
