Become Plumb and Cute

In town there was a huge celebration among the common folks as the soldiers marched into the capital. General Yang had returned with his troops. He didn't return to his manor and went straight to the Palace, to report to the Emperor.

"General Yang, has returned victorious once again."

"He's truly a young prodigy."

All the officials present praised amongst themselves.

The Emperor sat on his throne, a smile radiated his face. "General Yang, the war against the tribes surely wasn't an easy one, but you have exceeded our expectation and actually made them to surrender. This time you have truly made huge contributions."

"I'm not worthy of Your Majesty's praise, all I do is to assist your Majesty, for the prosperity of the land."

The Emperor nodded.

"We have organized a huge banquet, on the day of our birthday, we shall also celebrate the safe return of our soldiers."

After the court had been dismissed, the Crown prince was rushing back to his manor, Zhao Xing would have to take her medicine soon.

But someone walked up to him. "Crown Prince, it's been a while."

"General Yang." Xiao Chen, who was beside his master greeted.

Zhang Zhengyang turned to General Yang, who smiled at him.

"What is it?" He replied with a bland tone.

"How can you be so cold to your old friend, after not seeing each other for so long?" General Yang put on a hurt look on his face.

"I'm busy, if there's nothing then I shall be leaving first." The Crown Prince turned to leave.

But General Yang followed him, "I should come visit you sometime don't you think?"

"You'd welcome me won't you?"

"Hey! How can you be like this?"

"What is more important than our friendship?"

"You're still leaving.

"Hey!"

General Yang kept rambling and rambling, but Zhang Zhengyang was not amused and left him without saying a word.

"Tch, so petty, I only won once and he doesn't want to talk to me, even after I've come back from such a dangerous war."

"General, we're still in the palace you can't speak inappropriately." His servant said.

"I didn't say anything wrong, did I?"

The servant shook his head, if people saw how General Yang acted in private, his reputation would be ruined.

"General, madam is waiting at the mansion, shouldn't be on our way as well?"

"Sure, but the Emperor is sure to summon me, I can't leave that early."

The servant sighed inwardly, the madam had waited for over a year now for his return, he hoped when the General returned he wouldn't be cold to her like he used to.

And as the General said, the Emperor indeed summoned him. He looked at his servant, shrugged and walked way.

The Fourth Prince had also been present during court, he too also rushed to enter his carriage today. When he entered he smiled at the lady siting reading a book. Today she adorned herself beautifully like always. She wore bright yellow clothes and adorned her hair with golden ornament. She didn't raise her eyes to look at him when he entered, and was focused on reading, it gave her a serene look, as if nothing in this world could move her.

He sat next to her and leaned in to look at what she read.

"Get away, you're so annoying." Her voice was like music to any one's ear, it was soft and calming.

The woman lightly pushed him away, her furrowed brows clearly showed she wasn't in a good mood.

But the Fourth Prince didn't care. "Today I rushed here right after court just to see you, aren't you happy?"

The lady turned her head away. How could she be happy? But her actions made the Fourth Prince angry. He didn't say anything, and sat straight. The lady was somewhat relieved that he didn't bother her anymore.

"Don't think I don't know why you agreed to follow me to court every day."

His words made her heart sink. "He doesn't like you." He paused when he remembered what he saw a few days ago, and smiled wryly. "He probably has someone else in his heart right now."

The last sentence made the book she held in her hand drop to the ground.

"That can't be, right? He had promised me…he said he wouldn't…he wouldn't." She began mumbling to herself.

Indeed, she always put on a font that she was unmoved, but the Fourth Prince knew that though not many things could move her, the Crown Prince could.

The only person he loved in this entire world was in love with his brother.

"Don't worry, Qing'er, I'll surely become the next to rule, and I'll have him killed before your eyes." He said in a dangerous tone.

Zhao Qing didn't dare say a word. Nothing good happened when the Fourth Prince was enraged. Right now he was trying his best to stay calm. She bowed her head, and wiped the tears that had already fallen from her cheeks.

If she could she would surely kill this monster, and make him pay for everything he ever did to her.

When the Crown Prince returned to his mansion, he saw that Zhao Xing was still there, playing in the guardin with her maids, and heaved a sigh of relief. He thought she'd go back to her world but somehow she was still here. Inside, he was worried, she wouldn't take care of herself if she went back to her world.

"Zhao Xing, isn't it lunchtime? Why are you still outside playing around?"

Zhao Xing heard the Crown Prince's voice and panicked, she tried to hide, but…wasn't it already too late? These days she didn't know why she couldn't return to her world, but she figured it could be because she was currently unwell, and she'd return once she had recovered, so she complied with all the treatment procedures, such as…taking medicine, and resting.

"Have you taken your medicine yet?" he asked with a blank expression.

Zhao Xing laughed foolishly. "I…didn't you say you would feed me? I was only waiting for you…" She lied. Of course she just delayed it, and she would do so as much as she could. But when the Crown Prince returned she would have no chance to do so.

The maids saw their master was here and Lan'er rushed to get the medicine. With a mischievous smile on her lips. Nuo Nuo also wanted to laugh, but she held it in as she wasn't as lucky as Lan'er who had left the premises.

"Let's go, we can have lunch together then."

Zhao Xing sighed as she followed behind Zhang Zhengyang. These days she feared eating the most, since she was still recovering, they made her eat bland food every day, she hated it she felt she would puke whenever she had to eat it, she no longer knew which one was better the food was or the medicine.

"Zhengyang…can I fast today? I must have put on a lot of weight from staying in bed for too long…" She said in a low voice.

Hearing her, the Crown Prince couldn't help but smile. He turned and looked at her from head to toe. "Weight? You're not lying, you seem to have indeed put on some weight, but it's not a bad thing, eat more so you become plumb and cute."

"Zhang…Zhang Zhengyang are you calling me fat?" Her expression changed, as she raised her finger to point at him.

"I didn't, you said so yourself, I only echoed your words." He denied.

Xiao Chen who stood by his master, really wanted to raise his hands and clap for his master. 'Master good one!'

He knew whenever his master came home the past few days, he and the Grand Tutor would argue nonstop. And it all starts with Zhao Xing looking for excuses to not eat, or to not take medicine.

Well it seemed Zhao Xing wasn't really taking her treatment seriously. At least she did rest, like they told her to. Didn't she?
