"Dad!" the twin exclaimed.
'Ruler of the Lone Island? Is father sick?' Jia thought.
'Who is that man? Is he that strong?' Jun thought.
"Very well. The Ferren Clan shall be the ruler of the Lone Island," the man declared.
A bright smile can be seen on the face of their father, while confusion reigned over the twin.
"What is your name?" the man asked.
"Jaq Ferren, your venerable," Jaq politely replied.
"Call me Aezir. Give me a residence. We will talk there," Aezir commanded.
"Yes, sir Aezir," Jaq politely said with a smile; however, it quickly turned upside down as he felt a shiver down his spine. When he looked up to Aezir, fear reigned in his heart.
"Who is the current ruler of the Lone Island?" Aezir asked with a terrifying aura as he looked at the horizon.
"T-The House of Nelpon, sir--" Jaq instantly stopped talking when he felt suffocating killing intent from Aezir.
"The House of Nelpon, huh? How brazen," Aezir said with a death stare before reverting to his indifferent look.
The two had a long conversation once they got into Aezir's residence. Aezir asked all about everything. He found out that it had already been over 300 million years since his fall. He was once known as The Monarch. He was never a king or an emperor, but the people still gave him that title. It was acknowledged by both his friends and foes. Now, it is a title that is still known across the vast Great Universe despite 300 million years passing by. There was only one reason why. It was because, despite the records dating back to more than a trillion years, there was only one instance that The Nine Perpetual changed. It was more than 300 million years ago when The Nine Perpetual changed to The Perpetuals. No matter how much they tried to hide, the news inevitably spread; The Nine Perpetual had fallen. It may only be one of them, but the title had been lost, and The Monarch was the reason why.
'Three hundred million years. I cannot believe it took me that long to gain 10 percent of my power back. It will be easier now, but I cannot resurface just yet. The Perpetuals are dangerous.' Aezir thought.
The day smoothly ended. In the break of dawn, Aezir can be seen on a cliff, just in front of his residence. This is the most prestigious location in the entire Ferren Clan. Since Jaq was the current patriarch of the clan, it was not difficult for him to fetch Aezir this residence. Aezir was calmly staring at the sky when Jun came.
"Good morning, Sir Aezir," Jun politely greeted.
"Good morning, Jun. What brings you here?" Aezir asked with a warm smile.
"I was tasked to inform you that the meeting is about to begin," Jun said while slightly bowing.
Below the cliff, scenery that looks like a village can be seen. This is the entire Ferren Clan. In the heart of the entire clan, a building stood tall, towering over all other buildings nearby. Outside, Aezir and Jun stopped briefly as Aezir observed the building before entering inside.
"Creak." When the door opened, a beautiful ground floor filled with books and treasures could be seen on display. A lone staircase sat in the middle of the hall, leading to the meeting site.
"Sir Aezir, please, have a seat," Jaq said while leading Aezir to the sole high chair. It was originally the seat of the patriarch, but now, it was surrendered to Aezir.
"Patriarch!" an elder with long white hair and beard protested. This was followed by the other elders standing up to make Jaq reconsider what he did. This was not a mere chair assignment; it was a delegation of responsibility. They all knew that by doing this, Jaq was saying that Aezir was the one who was in charge.
"Everyone--" Jaq could not even explain when Aezir signaled for him to stop. Like an obedient butler, he did as he was told.
"Members of the Ferren Clan, I understand how you feel, but you must know that your dear patriarch had paid for his entire future for me to sit on this very spot," Aezir said with an indifferent expression.
"What?! What does that mean?" a female elder with fading brown hair asked in shock.
"Your patriarch and I made a deal. He can no longer advance in his Class, making him stuck at Yellow Academic. In exchange, I shall make the Ferren Clan the ruler of the Lone Island," Aezir said with indifference, but it still stunned the room.
Finally, after a long moment of silence, someone spoke.
"What!? Ruler of the Lone Island? You must be dreaming!" an elder with brown hair and eyes that looked significantly younger than the rest of the elders said.
The other elders finally regained their wits, but they were stunned once more when they saw Aezir drawing a Rune in thin air using his fingers.
All of them stared at him in utter disbelief. The twin did not know how significant Aezir, drawing Runes in this air, was since they were merely in the Novice Class, but these elders are all in the Academic Class, so they are well aware that only those in the Master Class can do what Aezir was doing.
However, their shock did not stop there. Their eyes widened, and their mouth opened in utter disbelief when they saw Aezir release the Rune. It swiftly rotated and disappeared. What replaced it was a beam of electricity thaw shot directly at the elder who just spoke.
"What---" The elder could not finish his statement since the beam had already reached him. A hole can be seen in his chest while sparks flow throughout his body. Everyone looked at the dead elder with utter disbelief in their eyes. Everything happened within a second. In that second, too many things happened that are in need of processing.
