One by one, children are dying in a city. It is getting gloomy day by day. Threatened by an evil lake, the city of Volis is under an unknown curse. Nobody is willing to stay here any longer. Arya- a thoughtful teen is on a journey towards self-identification, love and discovery of his own city. The city of Volis is full of possibilities, mystery and secrets which he will dig out when destiny empowers him mysteriously. 
Amidst various twists on his journey, he also discovers an incident in his family which the city might condemn.

Arya: A Life, A Quest

The priest's eyes enlarged again. This time he seemed angry. "You did it? 8 years ago?" He asked. Stella was dumbstruck. She didn't know what was taking place. She was sensing upcoming curse rather than blessings for his son. 


"Yes, I was the one. But, I can return it to you now. It's not of much use." Arya replied. 


"You ignorant boy, you would not know what it is that you have taken" The priest took a deep breath and continued, "you can however keep it, for I can sense your need for it. I do sense something around you!" 


"His holiness, what is my child saying, I do not know. Please, forgive him, if he has done anything wrong." Stella begged the priest. "Forgiven lady" The priest replied. "His holiness, please bless him" Stella hesitantly seeked his blessings. The priest took a glance of Arya, from top to bottom. He chanted a hymn and put his palms over Arya's head. Stella was rejoiced. Mrs. Aguilera was confused and was witnessing everything from far off with Maya beside her. May had several questions in her mind regarding her soon to be husband. However, she knew that their was just a formality for her and she should not take much interest in anyone's life. 


The priest left the place and everyone started leaving following him. Stella was relieved to have received for what she was yearning for. However, she kept staring at Arya furiously.She met Mrs. Aguilera and Maya before returning on their way home. 


"What did you steal? How dare you speak to his holiness like that? Your audacity has crossed all limits. You.. " Stella suddenly stopped and felt dizzy. She looked around for a chair to sit on. Arya rushed to bring a chair and made her sit. 


"Calm down mother! " Arya consoled her. 


"Son, your thoughtfulness has always worried me. You think too much for your age and speak too less. However, today your mouth was… " She stopped. Stella was tired. Her blood pressure was taking over. 


"Did you take your evening medicine before leaving? Seems like you an alarm set for it" Arya told Stella. "Don't change the topic Arya, Tell me about the stolen book. What book was it? Stella asked. 


"The name of the book, it's învinge Răul!" Arya said. "The title means to defeat the evil. I stole this book from the desk in our school, where he left it. I didn't return it to him. He visited our school that year on the school foundation day. Jay and I were very curious to know what's inside the book. However, as we were nervously running through the school corridor with the book hidden in my bag, he saw us, but I believe he couldn't guess that we stole it."


"Oh dear." Stella exclaimed in a sad tone. 


"The book is no ordinary Ma! " Arya said in a serious tone. "I flipped the pages, I have read it, trust me it has got some secrets related to this city" he said. 


"Ok, forget, over now! It's your marriage tomorrow. Did you even talk to Maya once?" She asked. 


"Mom, you know how I feel about this marriage. It's not going to be an innate relationship. I am hardly interested." Arya revealed. 


"Son, I know this. But, Maya is going to be a part of this house. She is going to be like a second daughter. I would not like it if you ever hurt her. Just keep this in mind." Saying this Stella left. 


"I hope she never hurts me by robbing my peace" Arya murmured.
