Variety of tensions

*GLASS BREAKS*

A sound came from the room where Maya just went to bring the towel and then,

"AHH!" she screamed in pain. Arya and Stella rushed to check what happened. They went there and found that the flower vase made of glass laid broken on the floor and glass pieces were scattered all over. Maya had stepped on one of those glass pieces and now she was bleeding. Arya saw her tears for the first time. Even on the wedding day, she wasn't crying.

He hurried towards her but then stopped. He will now have to pull her up to help her stand and for that… he will have to grab her arm, more precisely, touch her. Arya was unsure and then Stella yelled, "Honey what's with you? Help her! I am bringing the broom. This place needs to be cleaned before someone else gets injured. Stella leaves to bring the broom.

Arya slowly proceeds towards Maya, in doubt but as per his mother's instructions, he bent down and grabbed an arm of Maya."Don't worry, here…hold me and get up" he said softly.

Maya tried to stand up while tears rolled down her cheeks. Her tears were sparkling like tiny diamonds, seeing which Arya blinked his eyes. but kept focusing on lifting her up. As she tried to stand up,she slipped. Arya managed to save her from falling but then…she slipped into his arms. Arya was too shy at this point. He wanted the ground to open and swallow him. He could no longer bear his nervousness. As he tried to look into Maya's face, he found that Maya was looking at him curiously and her eyes were heavy with tears. Suddenly she realised that she was clung to Arya in the same slipped position for the last few minutes. She immediately moved back but mistakenly stepped on another glass piece AGAIN.

"Ah!" She cried out in pain. Arya felt terrible at this point and without thinking anymore, he picked her up, in his arms. Maya's eyes enlarged. He gently laid her on the bed while his heartbeat was beating louder than ever. "I will go bring the first-aid box" He said and opened the almirah. All this while, he didn't face Maya and was just doing his work. He quickly did her first aid while she kept looking at him.

Stella returned to the room with a tensed face but then… seeing what was taking place in the room, her face was relaxed. Arya, on spotting his mother, asked, "Mom, where is the broom?" Stella's tensed face returned and she said something to which Arya felt strange.

"Gone! That man is gone!" Stella said. "The sofa is all wet for him now," She added. Arya completed the bandage work and left the room.

He saw exactly what his mom told. The living room was empty and the door left ajar. He twitched his eyebrows in suspicion.

~City of Prix~

Wini was tired after a hectic day. She was leaving her office and heard some murmuring.

"There goes the madame!" giggled a lady. "Hush! Our boss!" Another worker joined her laughingly. "Man! She really has some attitude" the worker said.

"Do I?" A voice raged from behind them. As the workers turned around, they found Wini standing and staring at them. "Boss, We.. We're..! " One of them stuttered. "Shut up!" Do you even know how much pressure I bear? Wini asked angrily. "You will not know, but let me give you a taste of it. From tomorrow, both of you will be working overtime, 2 hours extra." Wini declared. "Refer to Isabella for all your overtime assignments" Wini said while leaving.

Someone from behind was observing all of these. It was Alec. He kept looking at Wini as she left the hallway. "She has it right?" A co-worker asked him. "Has what?" He asked back. "Lots of attitude, duh!". Alec nodded his head and sighed.

A week had passed and everyone in the office was worried about their new boss's attitude. Few employees even started abstaining. Isabella noted all of these and decided to talk to Wini. She opens the door of Wini's chamber and…

"DANG IT!" Isabella sees Wini flipping over a file on the floor. Her face looked like she was utterly disappointed. "Shall I come in?" Isabella asked before entering.

"Oh yea get in!" Wini responded, trying to calm herself down.

"Well… The products are being advertised by the agencies now, but the analytics are not showing good sales" Isabella began. Wini doesn't say anything. "There's another problem." Isabella paused and then continues, "People in the office… umm… they're a bit unsatisfied with you". As she said this, Wini raised her lowered face and looked at her. Her face indicated as if she wanted more elaboration.
