Chapter Four - Confrontation of Geniuses

Upon entering the waiting room Cebrail was met with two children around her own age.

The first and most obvious person in the room was the girl. She was not only taller than Cebrail but also rather well endowed in her curves. It wasn't so much that she looked like a short adult but enough that anyone looking could tell they were only just getting started. With her blueish almost lavender hair tied up in two short pigtails on either side of her head and piercing green eyes, she could definitely pull off the innocent beauty look even when she got older.

Cebrail felt a bit threatened by this girl. Not because of the height difference nor because of her glare but instead she felt that the size of the girls bust was insanely unfair and would definitely have people comparing the two of them for a very long time.

Yes indeed, Cebrail was jealous. The kid couldn't be more than a year older than her and the difference in assets was staggering. Based on her growth it was unlikely she'd ever have particularly amazing boobs in the future just like her past self.

(Perhaps I should eat better like Adriel is always suggesting... but food isn't particularly enjoyable to eat...)

"Hey! You!"

(Oh look a coffee maker. I wonder if they have any sugar packets~) Cebrail thinks ignoring the girl who had just called out to her and instead chooses to go to a nearby table with a coffee maker on it.

"Hey! I'm talking to you!" The girl yelled standing up and walking towards Cebrail. Her voice was high pitched and childish in such a way that her yells sounded more like screeches. This would normally make her difficult to ignore however Cebrail was a master, especially when it came to people approaching her rudely.

"Hey, maybe we should just leave her alone, Puriel." The boy with a somewhat soft voice said, grabbing the girl by the back of her short white dress.

"Shut up Gadreel! This is that high and mighty 'Seraphim Princess' that's too important to even go to school with the rest of us!" Puriel yells, shaking off the boy's hand with a bit of force.

Cebrail's eyes shifted for a moment to look at the second person in the room. It was a boy that was tiny and looked to be at least two years younger than both Cebrail and Puriel. He had slightly spiky brown hair swept to the side along with innocent blue eyes. His attire was also definitely the most traditional out of the three of them with it being almost a toga like garb.

(He looks kinda cute, like the little brother type. Never met someone into that but if there's a fetish there's always a person with it. This is the power of human legacies!) Cebrail thought taking a packet of raw sugar and tearing it open lightly.

"Hey! 'Princess' you were chosen by Lady Gabriel weren't you?"

"..." Cebrail pours the sugar casually into her mouth gulping it down as if it were water. Truthfully she had no idea what the girl was talking about, but she didn't feel like entertaining someone that was yelling at her wildly for no reason.

(Not sweet enough.) She comments in her head dropping the empty sugar packet on the ground.

"Listen to me!" Puriel yelled moving to grab Cebrail but fails as she bends over to pick up the empty packet she threw on the ground.

(Now that I think of it I shouldn't throw trash on the floor, this isn't my house where maids will just clean up after me.) Upon seeing Puriel's outstretched arm having missed at grabbing her Cebrail takes it in her own hand confusing the other girl for just a moment and puts the empty packet into her hand.

"Thanks." Cebrail says before turning around to walk away.

Both Puriel and Gadreel stared at the packet for a few moments before the former clenched their teeth in anger.

"Oh no..." Gadreel sighed in despair as he watched Puriel pull out a heavy baseball bat from her dimensional storage and rushed towards Cebrail with it held high over her head.

"YOUUU BIIIIIITTTTTTCCCCCCHHHHH!!!!" She screamed swinging her bat down towards Cebrail's head mercilessly.

"Stop this instant." A stern yet smooth boy's voice commanded them, causing Puriel to instantly stop her swing to look over at the person in question.

The boy looked about the same age as Puriel with him being taller than Cebrail but shorter than Puriel as he seemed to be just on the cusp of puberty. His face was cute yet almost handsome with slightly rounded cheeks that were still pinchable, deep brown eyes, and neck length black hair which looked somewhat rough but only added to his appearance.

"Who-" Puriel began only to have the boy interrupt her with his own introduction.

"I am Azril and was chosen by Lord Raphael for the Brave Saints project." Azril announced confidently while taking light steps towards the two girls. "It's almost time for the ceremony so fighting now would be detrimental to our image."

"Tsk, whatever." Puriel put her bat away and pointed to herself to announce proudly, "I'm Puriel chosen by Lord Michael as his representative in the Brave Saints project."

"My name is Gadreel, chosen by Lord Uriel." Gadreel's voice was somewhat soft announcing himself, not exuding nearly as much confidence as the other two.

The three of the children looked to Cebrail as she played with a small green creature in her arms.

(Where did that come from?) Puriel thought in confusion.

"Cheep! Cheep! Cheep!" Epis cried in Cebrails arms, desperately pointing towards the other people in the room. Unfortunately Cebrail completely misunderstood and instead took it for a game in which she cutely tried to catch Epis' little paws and hold them still.

It wasn't until Azril loudly cleared his throat did Cebrail shift her attention away from her pet like Sacred Gear and towards the other people in the room.

"..." She stared at them blankly almost as if she were saying "What do you want?" with her eyes.

"We were doing introductions." Azril states knowing that the girl hadn't been paying attention at all.

"Oh... I'm Cebrail Caritas, daughter of the seraph Gabriel." Cebrail introduced flatly before turning her attention back to Epis.

"See Gadreel I told you! She was chosen by her mother, how's that fair!" Puriel complained to her little friend.

(Fairness? She really is a child I guess...) Cebrail lamented in her head. She understood that fairness wasn't something that could ever properly exist as long as the world was based around the survival of the strongest. Even in her own past life Cebrail had worked directly in a horribly corrupt system which disguised itself using the concept of "Fairness," though it wasn't nearly as bad in a lot of ways as this world. At the very least it humans had unity for the most part, as well as security. No one had to pay for essential things like food and water.

(I still can't wrap my head around it... paying for food and water... isn't that just some of the bare essentials for survival?) Cebrail thought once again about how strange this world was in comparison to her previous one, she had only gone to the Human World once so perhaps she would get used to such changes later on after a few more visits.

"Those chosen by the Four Great Seraphs to represent them may now head into the stadium." A voice from a speaker in the corner announced professionally alerting all four of the children.

Cebrail instantly moved past the three other people in the room and out the door far faster than any of them could react, almost leaving a comical dust cloud behind herself.

"Hey! I'm not done with you yet!" Puriel yelled running after Cebrail.

"Ah! Wait Puriel!" Gadreel moved to chase after his friend but was stopped by Azril's hand on his shoulder.

"If you don't want her to embarrass herself don't allow that friend of yours to fight against the Seraphim Princess." Azril warns Gadreel ominously.

"W-What?"

"Do you not understand? The difference in power between the two is obvious to anyone with experience. Nine times out of ten your friend will lose any fight between the two." Azril lets go of Gadreel and walks past him unwilling to elaborate anymore on his word though Gadreel could understand what he meant.

When Puriel had attacked Cebrail before he had felt something was a bit off and was even going to intervene.

Cebrail hadn't reacted at all to the strike, not so much as even a twitch of her eyes.

Such complete confidence in her own power could only mean one thing.

(She didn't feel threatened by Puriel at all...) Gadreel came to the realization, his eyes widening in surprise and couldn't help running after the two girls. He definitely had to make sure the two didn't get into a physical altercation no matter what!
