Homebound II: Hannah

After dinner, we found our way back to the resort. Roman guided us out to the back deck with the hammock.

There was distant music playing somewhere on the island, but it was loud enough for us to make out. He grabbed my waist and began swaying along with the beat. I was all smiles as we swayed to and fro. My hands interlocked behind his neck and beamed up at him with sincerity. I had never been one for dancing, but lately I was finding joy in it.

There was something lingering in his eyes, like something he wanted to say but either was holding back, or simply didn't have the words for. Whatever it was, it was emotional. Even though I couldn't decipher it for him, I knew that I felt the same. It was positive, loving, and overflowing.
