I know. Great decision, right? But I knew nothing of the world. I might as well eavesdrop on the conversation between the Dumbass and the Disposables, right?

"Umm, Mr. King? We don't know what's going on, could you tell us where we are?" Said the Disposable "Hero" on the far right. You know what? Disposable has a really good ring to it! I thought to myself.

"This new batch really isn't that smart is it? You aren't even groveling while asking the great me a question!" I am hating him more and more.

The second Disposable from the left got angry. "Why don't you shut the fuck up! From the looks of it, all YOU'VE done is sat on your ass while making others do your job, you fucking fatty!"

The King simply waved his hand and said, "To the dungeon!"

And off he went.

'I no longer know whether he's a dumbass or a genius' I thought. most wouldn't think like this, but I knew. To the average person, a motion such as that would be fear inducing, showing that the person they are serving were willing to simply kill them off if they weren't listening. However, I personally think that the king was just angry at his outburst and didn't think anything about it.

The King then waved his hand again and said, "Send them away, I don't want to be bothered explaining simple bullshit to dumbasses."

Yep, the Kings a dumbass. now I have to crawl a shit ton more so I can get the basics of information to survive. Thanks a lot, asshole.

I was too lazy to sit through all of it, but I got the gist. We were summoned because the Demon King died. Now, most would think that that wouldn't be a problem, but the issue is is that the demons are not like humans. now that they don't have anyone to listen to, they will go insane, killing at every opportunity, committing genocide and crushing human villages, so the four heroes of virtue were summoned to protect the human realm, the virtue of Prudence, the virtue of Justice, the virtue of Temperance, and the virtue of Fortitude.

'Hold on,' I thought, realizing something was wrong. '5 of us were summoned, so what am I?'

I didn't have time to think of it, because I was almost out of the castle

I was out. It dropped me right next to a sewer grate, but I'm more happy about not falling into it then being dropped next to it. Surrounding me, however, was a dilapidated town. It's not one of those beautiful medieval cities you see in isekais, no.

I don't really care though, my survival comes first. No matter how bad of a job the King is doing, you should've gotten off your ass and done some work. Hell, because of how bad a job the King is doing, there should be MORE jobs, for people to do what the King should've been doing.

I looted the dying guy for his money and headed off to a weapon store.

'I know that that God gave me something, but you can never progress in an isekai without a blade.'

I quickly bought a simple dagger without much interaction to the store owner. Don't need to know him anyway. I was much more interested in getting out of this town and killing my first monster.

It wasn't long before I was outside. There weren't any walls to what I am assuming is the capital, giving me an even lower impression of the King. Nearby, there is a weebs dream enemy, the slime.

I quickly sneaked up on it and tried to stab it's core, but it moved before the dagger could pierce its core.

hmm? was that a hallucination?

The slime attacked me while I was distracted by what I thought to be a hallucination.

"You bastard!" I got angry for some reason. This surprised me, because I rarely get angry. "You dare to touch me with your filthy weak body! You are nothing compared to what I will be!"

I screamed as I stabbed it's core. As it died out, I heard a message.
