SHARI pretended to have a headache when Levi mentioned Hyrum's name. "The name is… familiar."

"Are you okay? If you're unwell, this meeting can wait." Levi sat beside Shari, studying her as he cupped her face.

Shari held his hand. "It must be important. I'll be fine. But… who is Hyrum?"

Levi heaved a sigh. "He was your previous boss before you became a police officer. Lei had told me everything. Your trauma started with the Chengs, I'm sure of it."

Shari nodded. "I hope I can regain back all my memories." She looked down with a distraught expression. But she smiled as he gazed back at Levi again. "I should help you prepare."

"No, it's okay. I can manage. I'll be back quickly. Lei is here to look after you."

Levi kissed her forehead before he stood up to prepare. When Levi was gone, Shari immediately called Lei into the other room.

"Have you received the text?" Shari asked.
