He brought their plates to the table, his eyes scanning the food before him. He wasn't sure of Robyn's tastes, but Adele's preferences were like second nature to him.
Robyn snatched the plate from his hands, a scowl on her face. She was still fuming, clearly upset with how he had shut her down earlier. There was little chance of her forgiving him now.
Adele, on the other hand, took the plate politely with a smile, her eyes lighting up with anticipation.
"Just eat slowly," he said softly, "there's plenty more in the kitchen."
