CHAPTER 38 Bathroom

  "My car is not still here, I guess I have to wait," Everleigh said as they walk back to the campus parking lot.

  "I can ride you to your home," Jackson presented.

  Everleigh shook her head. "Nah, I'll just wait for my driver. He'll be here,"

  Driver, Mr. Hunderson or me? I felt a heated blood in my chest. I sighed to calm down myself.

  Suddenly, on their way, a group of goons stopped their tracks.

  They held Eve's arms, but Jackson pulled her closed to her. Everleigh hold tight to Jackson's arm.

  "Shit!" I was about to run when suddenly Jackson let out a pocket and throw money to them.

  The group of men immediately walked away with a smiles on the faces. Everleigh is still trembling as Jackson held her hands.

  Money. Yeah, sure. Money can buy everything, even your safety. And all I can do is to hide Eve, protect her with my strength. Am I enough or even worth it for her?

  They were about to walk when I called her. "E-Eve," cold breathes came out of my mouth.
