Chapter 14

　　Upon getting to his room, Adam Sleeves slammed the door behind him. He took out his phone from his pocket, switched it on, placed it on the bed, after which he proceeded to the bathroom for a cold shower which made him feel awfully better.

　　Coming back to his room all dressed up for bed, Adam met his phone ringing. He silently cursed, hoping it wasn’t any family member. But seeing that it was Oliver, he picked.

　　“You saved this phone from being slammed against the wall. I thought it was someone that I didn’t want to talk to.”

　　“You should visit your Mom, Adam.” Ollie’s voice came through.

　　“Why?” Adam said without a care in the world.

　　“Amanda called me. She said they’ve been trying to reach you. You wouldn’t even pick their calls or agree to see them. She said your Mom is very sick and has been requesting to see you.”

　　“Why?” Adam said with no emotion.

　　“I don’t know, Mate. Perhaps She wants to apologize or She has something else to tell you.”
