Chapter 34

　　Finally pulling away, A small smile crept to Adam’s lips when he saw Kara trying to hide her blush.

　　He chuckled, “Never knew you could be this shy!” He ran his finger over her slightly swollen bottom lip.

　　“I’m not.” She mumbled, looking everywhere else but him.

　　“Says someone who can’t look into my eyes.”

　　Kara rolled her eyes. “Aren’t you still meant to be grumpy?”

　　Adam shook his head. “Not after that beautiful kiss. I’m so fucking proud of you for standing up for us. And thank you for being there for me earlier.” He leaned closer to her and placed a long kiss on her forehead.

　　“I’m really not emotional but there are times I get overwhelmed by stuff and I hate people seeing me that that way,”

　　Kara nodded. “It made me remember that we are all humans no matter how egotistic we are. And it’s okay to break down. But I was scared. It was so sad seeing you that way.”
