38. A Prisoner

Not just one, there were about ten or so, and I was sure they contained human corpses. And that was not coming from some of the mounds that were already covered with traces of wild animals, which probably meant that their bodies had become food for animals in the forest.

All of them reminded me of Summer, who always replaced her body with a new one in order to stay alive and all those disgusting things. Did they do it to the corpse and also have the same purpose, to bring the body back to life?

This also reminded me of Antonie, who replaced his ruined body with another new one and came back to life. I didn't understand this. If they were already dead, why did they do that? It wouldn't change anything, would it?

"What are thinking about, Tha?" Mickey came over to my seat.

"About what they do. Mike, tell me the truth, do you know this?" I wished this tubby cat could be more serious, and I was not in the joking mood at the moment.
