　　I cautiously opened my eyes and saw my entire family piled into my bed while I heard muffled conversations going on around me. It’s giving me a terrible headache. I got out of bed and sat down slowly.

　　“You fainted, and the doctor said it was due to stress, so we brought you home.” Then I had the sudden realization that there had been gunshots at the hall of justice today immediately after the court had finished.


　　“Where is Ivy?” As I kept an eye on her, I noticed that she was looking down. I rose up.


　　“I’m sorry Maya, but she deserved it. She could have killed you. It’s possible that the kids would have grown up without a mother.


　　“I know, but you could have gone to jail too, sis.”


　　“Well, that was self-defense. She was lucky that I aimed for her leg. I could have aimed for her skull.”
