“Oh. Terribly sorry. I was just lost in my own thoughts and memories,” I feel my cheeks blush.
"And no, I don’t just expect you to believe us,” She says softly, “But maybe with time when you get to know us.”
I frown slightly, ”I guess you never know, I guess it depends on what I learn when getting to know you.”
Fire moon smiles slowly, “Practical and smart. You, little Alpha Jonas, are a treasure.”
If only Typhon thought so too.
I let my teacup clatter onto the table. I do not like the direction my thoughts are taking regarding Typhon.
“Ah, look," Fire moon says, standing up rather suddenly, “Our runaway Leader returns.”
“He has ?"
Fire moon gestures toward the hallway where I now hear heavy footfall, “He appears to have changed his mind. Perhaps he has decided our company is really not so bad anyways.”
“Or it might just be the rain,” I retort, “It has begun to drizzle.”
“So it has. Mother Nature is clearly on our side,” She giggles.
