It seems I’ll have to get that moon

"I'm sorry, Kakashi-San. I got your shirt dirty." Kiyomi sniffles.

A Similar scene happened with Kiba when he was doing Kuranai's test. Kiba wept a bit harder than Kiyomi. Kuranai comforted him, too. The Twins have had a very shitty childhood... They always look over their shoulder and literally slept with one eye open... they had to use tear drops in the morning. Throughout their academy years, they sat in places that were closest to the window for a higher chance of escape. They were constantly in a state of fear for their lives despite their mother trying to help them, but they were just too traumatized and Tsume's help only made things worse.

"Kiyomi, I don't care. I can just wash it... I 'AM' Your Sensei. Whenever it gets too hard... I'll be here, okay? You shouldn't bottle up your emotions. I'm here whenever you need me." Kakashi patted her head as she wiped her tear stains with her hoodie's sleeve.

"I'm just so scared... Why is the world like this?" Kiyomi recalled how she and Kiba learned the art of killing but that was motivated out of fear, not motivated out of wanting to be better Shinobi.

"The world is sick; it will take more than medicine to cure it. I can only say that the other villages fear what you two could become... I don't know when the world will be cured, but I hope I get to see it before I grow old and die." Kakashi sighed.

"I wanna be there and your kids will call me Aunt Kiyomi!" She grinned at him as his eye bulged in horror.

"I'm fine being alone." Kakashi shuddered.

"Mah, Mah, don't be like that... Do you really want to see the Hatake bloodline die out? Also, I have heard about Anko... She is as perverted as you are and secretly reads the Make-Out series! Go get her!" Kakashi had brightened face when he heard Kiyomi whisper about Anko and nodded.

"I'll try. A woman who has those kinds of tastes is worth keeping." Kakashi nodded sagely.

"I also secretly read Garden of Lilies... It's Yuri... The sex scenes between two women are splendid. I can recommend them for you!" Kiyomi whispered to him, and he blushed and nodded.

"I look forward to new art." Kakashi smiled behind his mask.

"Still... I don't know why the other villages fear something that will happen in the far-off future. Right now, we are only able to beat other Chunins and aren't Jonin or anything like that..." Kiyomi pops open a can of soda and sipped it as she looked at the blue sky.

"You aren't the only one that has that Kekkei Genkai, and I don't mean your brother. Someone else in your clan also has it. And they have had it for far longer... The other nations fear her, and rightfully so. They didn't want to have two more of them running around." Kakashi was vague about the other person who has the same Kekkei Genkai. He had to be since said person is in the Anbu and casually revealing an Anbu's identity is grounds for execution.

"Well, ain't that a bitch... Now that I know the reason why... I guess I can understand that. People fear the unknown and also fear the future despite the fact both are irrational. It's pointless to fear what you don't know and as pointless to fear the future when you don't even know what tomorrow will be like." Kiyomi gets a flask from her pocket and adds it to the half empty soda can and swirled it a little.

"True, but that's a part of what makes us human." Kakashi gave an eye smile. Since she is a Genin, she is technically considered an adult and therefore is allowed to drink alcohol or some tobacco if she so chooses to.

"Mm, that is a good. I made it exactly as it should be!" Kiyomi grinned as she tossed the flask to Kakashi, who took a gulp and widened his eyes as he swayed a little.

"You made this?" Kakashi put a hand on the railings. His whole world was rocked as he took a gulp of the Bacardi that was far stronger than for any Sak-e he has ever drank!

"Yup! 75.5% alcohol! I made mine, since others were too weak to even give me a slight buzz." Kiyomi took another gulp from the soda can.

"75.5%? I don't think I want to know the purpose of why you made arguably the strongest drink in the Elemental Nations. Even the strongest Sake is 46% at the maximum..." Kakashi steadied himself.

'I worked in a Bacardi 151 brewery during my college years. I would definitely know how to make my own.' Kiyomi deadpanned at Kakashi and shrugged.

"46% is weak. I drink Bacardi like its water... My reasons... Are my own." Kiyomi looked anywhere but at Kakashi as she drank from the flask after the soda can was empty.

"Just make sure it doesn't affect the missions and we're good." Kakashi shook his head.

"Nah, I know when to drink and when not to. Me and Kiba have been drinking for three years... It helps... But it's definitely a temporary form of helpful... Makes us forget, I suppose you could say." Kiyomi stared at the ground and was shuddering like an abused puppy and Kakashi goes over and hugs her and gently puts her head on his chest.

"As your Sensei, I won't let you feel that kind of fear ever again. I'll protect you no matter what... because that's what Senseis do." Kakashi smiled.

"But then you would have to fight people that are gunning for us... granted, they are Chunin and at most Special Jonin... But... You are a Jonin and shouldn't have that kind of time..." Kiyomi spoke with a breaking voice.

"Well, I can make time. As your Sensei, I want you to go to sleep with both eyes closed. I want you to be free. I'm sure Kuranai feels the same and will protect your brother as well. Me and Kuranai can team up... How does that sound? two jonins?" Kakashi patted her head.

Kakashi remembers the reports on his new student, and he felt intense anger toward the other villages for terrorizing what is basically children. Kakashi felt angry that the twins were guarded and made a cage of their own making to feel safer, and that more than anything made him feel chest pains. Terrorizing children 'INSIDE' Konoha during times of peace... it's unheard of as no one has done so during the three Shinobi world wars, and it may have happened during the wars but that's natural... Even Jonin's feel fear when they see Jutsu and explosions and Shuriken/Kunai flying all around them, just trying to live.

"Sounds good... I'd like to stop using eye drops every morning too..." She gave a hollow chuckle.

"You won't have to ever again if I have anything to say about it." Kakashi lowered his mask just this once and smiled.

"If I had an inclination towards men, I'd ask you to marry me... Alas, I am Lesbian. Thanks... Your smile made me feel safe, if only for a few seconds." Kiyomi smiled back.

"I'm glad, Though I wish it would make you feel safe at all times..." Kakashi had a wry smile as he put his mask back on.

"You're asking for the moon..." Kiyomi deadpanned and unabashedly snarked about her trauma.

"It seems I'll have to get that moon. You both can come out now." Kakashi looked to where the two boys were hiding behind the walls of the staircase.
