Episode 10

Chapter 10: Astraea Heavenly Palace.

I am just standing while both of my eyes are roaming around to watch my male classmates. Their long hair is wet while they are naked. We are inside a bathroom and the sound of running water is invading the silence. My mouth is also agape while they are taking a bath.

‘No. I can’t do this.’ I turn the other way around and am about to leave the bathroom when I bump into someone. This made me let go of the wooden bucket I have in my hand. The contents of it fell on the ground which made a noise and caught the attention of the boys who were taking a bath. Their eyebrows are furrowed as they glance in my direction. They are probably weirded out by my actions.

“What are you doing?!” he yelled tempestuously. I closed my eyes because of his yelling.

“Please forgive me. I’m so sorry!” I exclaimed and bowed my head. I didn’t mean to bump into him. It was just an accident.

“Alright. I forgive you.” He spoke. I was about to raise my head when he continued speaking. “But in one condition, you have to scrub my back.”

My eyes widened at what he said and blood rushed to my cheeks, causing me to blush. The guy whom I bumped into is Shifan Lu. There is something about him that makes me feel uneasy. It's strange, but he reminds me of some of my classmates back in the Raevisia Apples Frost. I gulped and looked at him. I nodded my head to let him know that I agreed.

We were about to walk towards the shower area when someone pulled my clothes. I tilted my head and saw Raven's serious face, holding the fabric of my clothes in my grasp. “Why would he do that? Who are you that you want him to serve you?" Shifan Lu gritted his teeth in irritation. “He’s mine.” Raven continued. “I am the only person who has the right to order him. Right, softie?" Raven gave me a glance and winked. I smiled at him and before I could even answer, he dragged me out of the bathroom.

A series of thoughts started circling around my head. What is he talking about? I am his? Omo~ Don’t tell me he is starting to harbor some feelings for me? No. That can’t be. I only see him as my best friend! Wahh~

I was blushing so hard and too preoccupied with my thoughts when I heard Raven speak. “Hey. What are you thinking?” he asked me. “And why the hell does your face look like a freaking tomato?” he grunted. I pouted at him. For the past few days, my mind has been invaded with numerous thoughts regarding my savior. I have to decide where I should start looking for him. Also, I am thinking of a way to get out of school without anyone knowing. And this scoundrel has even added to the mess I already have in my brain!

I stared at Raven and looked at his features. To be honest, I never thought someone could like me. He’s not actually bad. He’s actually good-looking and looks masculine. He has a pair of thick eyebrows, a pointed nose, kissable lips, and even long eyelashes. Add to that his incredibly smooth face. He’s also several inches taller than I am.

Unfortunately, his looks are nothing compared to those of my savior. He is just a hybrid type of scoundrel who is so proud of himself —

“Why the f*ck are you staring at me like you’re pitying me?” he growled while he was baring his teeth at me. We are now inside the classroom and classes are about to start. The first subject is history. We will tackle about the past events that happened ages ago that concern the Heavenly Realm. To be honest, I don’t have any intention of listening. All I want is to daydream and imagine things about my savior and how I will find him. My goal was to repay him for saving my life. Another reason why I traveled here and risked my life is to see the Emperor of Heaven. I really idolize him and I also wanted to ask him a certain question.

I felt a sharp pain in my head. Raven smacked me hard. I immediately massaged it to soothe the pain and groaned. “Yes. I pity you.”

His left eyebrow rose and he growled at me. “For what reason?”

“I only treat you as a—” he didn't allow me to finish and smacked me again on the head. His method was different from earlier in that he used a book instead of his hand.

I am about to complain when he opens his mouth to speak. “You’re really an idiot." He glared at me as he said, "I only said this to stop them from bullying you! And besides, I like someone else.”

My eyes widened at what he said and I grabbed his arm like I was hanging on to it. “Oh my goodness! Who is the unfortunate woman?”

He throws me a sharp glance that can probably pierce through my soul. “What the hell?” My lips are painted with a sarcastic smile to annoy him. He shrugged his arm for me to let go. He also crossed his arms and looked straight in front. “It’s none of your business. It’s my secret. Mind your own.” He waves his left hand as a sign to leave him alone. I pouted and fixed myself on the chair.

I put both of my arms on my desk and rested my chin on the palm of my hands. Several minutes later, the professor entered the classroom and started teaching. Time passes quickly, and the discussion is over. We were dismissed, and the professor for our next subject entered the classroom. In this subject, you'll learn how to use magic. Part of it is to teach us how to fly and test it in the Hall which serves as the training ground for senior students. The professor’s name is Duke and he taught us how to fly using a sword. There are a bunch of wooden swords in front of me, and I did not expect them to be heavy. They can even be compared to metal ones in terms of weight.

I grumbled as I tried to carry the wooden weapon. I am panting as I try to raise it in the air. Never underestimate the importance of the weight of these swords. I take a glance at Raven and see that he is never bothered by the heaviness of what he’s carrying. I roamed my eyes around and realized that only a few can’t carry it. Others are also proud to complete the task and begin to train on how to control the said wooden weapon. Geez. For me, this equals the weight of a metal!

Due to my inability to carry the wooden sword, I began pulling it. It made a commotion because it clashed on the floor and made an annoying sound. Most of the students complained about the sound it was making. I can’t blame them; it is really painful to the ears. Raven tried to walk in my direction to try to help me out but Professor Duke gave him a warning. “Don’t even think of helping other students. Those who cheat will get expelled.” After his warning, he walked away and left.
