Chapter 41 You're Wrong

Upon hearing the news, Rosalie's heart contracted with fear.

Her biggest wish was to see Dorothy die, so that she could replace her as Mrs. Scott. But now that Dorothy was on the verge of death on the operating table, Credence's behavior was different from what she had expected. From his reaction, it seemed that he was going to put the blame on her...

She could not let it happen.

She could not just sit by and await her doom.

At this thought, a malicious look immediately flashed across Rosalie's eyes. She instructed the doctor, "Hurry, give me an anesthetic injection right now! And make stitches on my abdomen. Tell him that the operation was successful. Because of the anesthetic, I am not awake yet."

After that, Rosalie lay back on the hospital bed and closed her eyes nervously.

Any small detail that could arouse Credence's suspicions had to be handled thoughtfully.

"Yes, Miss Rosalie."
