Mazelina had been laying uncomfortable in the vehicle for hours now when it came to a halt and a door behind her head opened and arms lifted her up and out. She squirmed, trying to get free, only to fall to hard earth. She whimpered slightly as her blindfold came off. When she blinked up at the male in front of her, her memory of her capture came back. "Josiah!"
He frowned at her and tilted his head to one side. After a long look at her, he said, "Do not worry, Mazelina. You'll be safe soon. No one will be able to find you in the place i have in mind."
"Josiah! Let me go! Take me back! Please!" she cried, more frantic now as she didn't recognize her surroundings.
"It'll be okay, Mazelina. There's nothing to fear," he cooed, then stood as another vehicle drove up. Bright lights shone on her and she flinched away as the driver got out. "Good, you made it."
"I'm not stupid, pup. I'm surprised you got her out without any damage," said a familiar voice.
