Higher Ranked Masteries - [ Chapter - 58 ]

As Ho-Seok laid in his bed, he decided to go out for the night as he quickly left to get himself even strong, but for now he wanted to upgrade the skills he already had especially his chain and Sword skills since he only had their basic masteries with some basic active skills.

When he left, he wrote a note as left saying he had to leave urgently cause he left his sister in the tower but he was actually just gonna go through some more training and learn some skills. As Ho-Seok left he headed back to the tower while he did, he went past the ruins of the city.

Some destroyed buildings, cars, roads and some blood and corpses from the monsters before and some human, but he couldn't look back now as he knew what had happened before and he couldn't feel responsible for what happened as this was suppose to happen in the first place.

After he entered back into the tower, he took a deep breath as he opened the tower's store and looked through all of the skills he could buy and searched for some good ones and as he was looking through them, he found some better chain and Sword mastery skills.

Alongside those he also got some good active skills that would work well for them, he also bought some basic buffs, debuffs and spells since he could still use them for important times, however their effectiveness was still halved thanks to his stockpiling ability.

So most of their effects won't see their true glory until his next life but Ho-Seok really didn't want to die and abandon his family again, but he knew in the tower even people who are currently stronger than him are dying daily so he just had to listen to what the system told him.

He had to get strong enough to the point where even if he died and goes back in time, his family would have a pretty easy life even without him. After Ho-Seok bought all of the new skills, he decided to use his experience points now to upgrade some of his skills and abilities.

While he was adding his experience points to his new skills, someone bumped into him, and as he did the man apologized as he said, "Sorry, just trying to buy some potions for my family.", he said as he quickly hurried going into one of the nearby villages as Ho-Seok sighed.

Most people couldn't even afford buying stuff from the Tower's store and since player's could just sell and buy in towns, it was actually a pretty good business especially as creating potions were pretty cheap in itself the only real need was someone with a good ranked alchemy skill.

Which as he thought of this, Ho-Seok then remembered what the next floor had in store for them and so he decided to revisit Scorpio's store one last time since, after reaching the next floor, his store would be probably be used mostly as a normal store now for some weekly necessities.

But as Ho-Seok entered his store again, Ho-Seok asked, "Scorpio, do you have any mastery skill books? I know you have some good ones especially since I'm your only customer at the moment.", as he said that Scorpio appeared while smiling at Ho-Seok.

Scorpio then said happily, "I GOT MY SECOND CUSTOMER! And he's normal! What'd you know?", he said as he took a jab at Ho-Seok but he just replied saying, "Well then, I guess I can just ask another store to buy what I'm looking for?", he said as he smiled lightly.

His smile and eyes didn't flinch when he said that and Scorpio was able to also see he wasn't lying about finding another store and so he replied as he snapped his finger, "Yeah, yeah, here you go, I can never tell your bluffs or if you even bluff, this is really frustrating you know?".

Ho-Seok just continued to smile as he looked through the books and saw there was only five books, it was already quite a lot in itself but he still had loads of blood to spend and so he then asked, "Do you have any useful skills that can link to the mastery skills you showed me?".

As Ho-Seok asked that, he didn't even look at Scorpio and so he sighed and said, "Yeah, yeah.", he said in a pretty sad tone and then said under his breath, "You're the only human who has ever disrespected me like this, it's quite interesting." he said as he smiled while he took the payment.

But as Ho-Seok was leaving, he then turned around as he said to Scorpio, "@$&$#&@##." as he said this he smiled and continued reading the description of the skills but when Scorpio heard what he said his jaw dropped a bit as he smiled and laughed to himself lightly.

The skills he got were pretty straight forward, Ho-Seok was mostly able to get some chain and Sword skills thanks to Scorpio's recommendations. It improved his movement, strength and all of his capabilities while he was holding it as a weapon and he could do a lot more with it now too.

With the mastery aside, he also got some good active skills, although they just improved his basic attacks, they gave his attacks almost ten times of what they usually do and were even faster than before so Ho-Seok was pretty happy with those skills at the moment.

But now alongside the three other high ranked mastery skills that he got, it made him even stronger, the first one was actually a martial arts mastery skills which created a base for loads of martial arts that Scorpio sold off to Ho-Seok which would actually be useless to other people.

Since most martial arts have boundaries and aren't able to connect to each other and they would just be a mess to remember, but luckily Ho-Seok could connect them all together even though the strength of the skills were still weakened, it actually became even stronger when they were linked.

He was able to feel the swiftness and strength in his basic movements but the biggest excitement for Ho-Seok was the two other masteries, the Archer and Dagger mastery skills, he was specifically excited about the archery skill since that was actually his main weapon in his first life.
