Chapter 3: Will of Selena
—---------------------------
"Take your rest. We will be leaving the second sun rises." Prince Edward happily said, hearing the answer of Erix.
"As you wish." Erix our protagonist replied, watching the Guard Captain Richard and Edward leaving the room.
Thud!
'I accepted their request. But, was it really a good decision?" Erix thought, slamming his butt against the bed.
He loosened his body, resting his body as his eyes swiftly looked through the room.

[Inside Another Village house]
"Your Majesty, are you sure the old man wasn't lying? A seed hasn't appeared in our land since the era of Great Ancestry." Richard let out his doubts, looking at Edward with abit of doubt.
"Indeed, that's why I am taking him with me to the Conference.
While even though a seed hasn't appeared in our land since the era of Great Ancestry. That doesn't mean they will never appear.
I think this current situation is the perfect explanation of that." Prince Edward then said, seated at his small chair with a tiny table infront of him.
"Indeed you are correct, your Highness. If he really is a Seed or not we can know it in the Conference and if he really is a seed we must get him to our side. We could have another Magus among our Empire ranks. This coup will definitely help you gain the status of Crown Prince." Richard exclaimed in happiness, thinking about the possibility.
Seeds were known to beings blessed by the World's will.
They were destined to grow and enter the Legendary Realm of Magus one day or another day.
While a Seeds could be anyone, from a human to a demon to a tree to a stray dog.
If anyone is borned as a Seed, they could definitely reach the Realm of Magus which is known as the pinnacle of strength.
The world of Vigata had its power scales divided into two Paths, known as the Warrior Path and Sorcerer Path in simple words.
A warrior path is the most common path as it doesn't need profound knowledge and treasures to follow.
This path's Realm is divided into six stars… One star being the beginning Realm of Warrior path, the Six star was currently known as the apex Realm which hardly five or six warriors have achieved in the Continent of Tara.
The second and probably the last path was Sorcerer Path, this path is extremely hard to follow with one needing to have a heavy background and knowledge to support this path.
As a fact, hardly anyone below the ranks of Count rank or Heroes family follow this path.
While talking about its stage, its first Realm is called Mage Realm.
Which have a total of nine tiers to reach, before entering a differently new Realm.
Once, one reaches the legendary ninth tier in Mage Realm, and successfully completes a condition of the World's will.
They can officially enter the Realm of Magus, which could open an entire new world to its awakener.
Sadly, no one but four Grandmasters have broken through the hurdles and entered this Legendary Realm of Magus.
The Levin Empire who also have one of these Lord Magus in their army, who can just with a flick of his finger annihilate an entire squad (10) of six-star Warriors.
They have been one of the Greatest Empires and top powerhouse of this Continent.
"Indeed, It is as you say Richard. Though, we still don't know which racial Seed he will awaken as. If he were to awaken as a non-human Seed, it would be a big disgrace to my name and a big disappointment to father." Edward said in discomfort, a hint of tension shown in his face.
"..." Richard quietly stood behind, his eyes also having a hint of fear.

*Opening book*
"Will Selena?" Erix read out loudly the text ridden in red, opening the first page of a mysterious book that gained his attention.
This book had a very thick black cover, with few red strands designing its
Its pages are made out of animal skin, which skin still unknown to any.
*Turning page*
*Turning page*
"I can actually read this unknown language?" Erix mumbled to himself, somehow being able to read the unknown texts written in the book.

Day 1
It was a beautiful day. The sun shines its light to the world.
In a small village of Altalune, a small girl ran… her foot bleeding blood.
The village which had 12 families living in harmony was burning into ashes.
The corpses of its family members burned into crisps, as their blood painted the burned wall.
*Horses aggressively neighing*
The poor little girl, with no idea of why she was running beside watching her mother's chest pierced through a sword.
She shedded tears, her legs bloodied.
She stumbled, her chin roughly banging against the ground.
She wailed, her tiny body aching in pain.
Horses steps began to move toward her, she clueless as she wailed in pain.
The girl asked you
"Will you kill a hundred bandits for me?"
—
*Turning page*
'Blank?' Erix thought, the next and next and next to the first page being empty.
"Will you kill a hundred Bandits for me?" He mumbled to himself the words, immediately the book shining a red aura.
Swooosh
"What's going on?" Erix exclaimed, backing a few steps back from the book.
Vroooom!
The Mysterious book began to rumble the entire atmosphere, its red light growing thicker and thicker.
Swish!
It shot a red light beam right at Erix's forehead, who couldn't even react.
"Wha-?!"
Ding!
[Host has been acknowledged by the Mythical Grimoire
Ding!
[Host has been given the first test by the Grimoire,
'Grimoire? This rusty book was a Grimoire?' Erix exclaimed in surprise, remembering the Grimoires from Zarth.
All the books were shining with magic, many jewels decorating its cover.
He leaked an "ehhh", staring at the book.
"System, can you tell me anything about the Grimoire?" Erix asked the system, his curious gaze checking out the Grimoire.
Ding!
[Host hasn't unlocked the System completely. Host can't receive high-level information.]
"High-level information?" Erix leaked out his voice, getting no help from the system.
Though he didn't mind it. As, ever since he was a kid he really never relied on anyone else then he himself.
'There must be something about this Grimoire in the room. I just have to search for it.' Erix thought using his brain, as he had found the book in this room there must be something related to it in here as well.
As to who wrote this Grimoire… What magic is stored in this Grimoire was something one must know before using that Grimoire.
As to Grimoires are magical manuals written by ancient Great Sorcerers, who wanted to let their magic run through the future generations.
Though, due to the difference between the magical path of the Past and Present.
Hardly anyone including the current generation Magus could pass through the test given by the Grimoires to receive its inheritance.
*Searching the room*
Erix checked open the old broken drawers, under the bed, small vintage tables and pots storing water.
He couldn't find anything in this run down house, except mouse shits around every corner of the room.
'There must be some clue on to what their Grimoire is.' Erix repeated his words, his eyes focusing on a small note stuck near the corner of a drawer.
Erix walked infront of the drawer, picking up the note.
[Selena, the Goddess of Moon and Devil of Abyss.]
Was written in the note, a puzzly ancient picture of a lady drawn into the note.
A crescent moon drawn to her right, a back hole drawn to her left.
"Will of Selena… Selena, the Goddess of Moon and Devil of Abyss." Erix talked to himself, not having to think anymore about who the writer of this Grimoire was.
*Knocking door noise*
"Oy kiddo, get out! We are departing now." A loud voice of Richard sounded, a sun peeking out between the two peak mountains.
"Yes, coming!" Erix exclaimed, walking out the room, as he didn't have anything to prepare.
"...."
"What happened? We don't have time to pass out?! We have to depart right now. Don't have time to deal with your nonsense so get your fucking feet moving." Richard scoffed, watching Erix pass out for a second.
'This is the first time. I am actually seeing the outside world of this unknown world. Beautiful.' Erix thought, as he was unconscious when he arrived in this world.
Then soon he was locked inside this room until now that he finally stepped out.
"Damn, maggots! Get your lazy ass moving! Do you want me to whop your ass to the moon!" Richard shouted to a sleepy guard, his strict shouts making all the soldiers to quickly make a formation.
A soldier riding a horse soon approached our protagonist.
"Hello, Sir Erix. I have been assigned by His Highness to give you the lift. Please get on my horse." The soldier said, raising his hand to climb the horse.
Erix just ignored the horses lightly jumping as he gently landed at the back of the horse.
"We can go now." Erix nonchalantly said, making the soldiers scratch his steel helm in nervousness.
Sniff!
Sniff!
'Smell of human ashes?' Erix suddenly exclaimed, looking around the silent lifeless village.
"Hiup!" Soldiers exclaimed, riding his horse toward the formation.
'What was that smell of?'
