Last day of training final: Goodbye Ivy

CHAPTER 21

After the fight, they all went to Ivy's cabin, where everyone sat in awkward silence.

"E-them."Jane cleared her throat.

"Uh, I guess..erm..that's as strong as he can get in 3 days."Jane.

"Yeah, er, I guess he sorta went past expectations?"Kelvin.

"Even I don't know what to say," Anna.

"Will you guys knock it off already, I didn't give the climatic finish you were hoping for, can you drop it now, I'm feeling depressed!" Victor

"There, there you did your best," Jane said trying to comfort him.

Victor was lying in her lap as she was patting his head.

"Your legs may be comforting but somehow the words make me feel worse, Jane" Victor

"I should stop?"Jane

"No, please keep going, "Victor

"Ignore them, Vic, you did a good job out there, kicking sand in my eyes was a great tactic, "Ivy.

Pov: Victor.

That was an unintentional accident, I just wanted to get my footing back and ended up kicking some sand in the process.

"You still landed a hit and as agreed upon you win."Ivy

"It didn't feel like a win," Victor said still sulking on Jane's lap.

"Remember there are many ways to win a fight, yours might not be physical but there might come an opponent where even physical strength proves useless," Ivy.

"I hope that day comes"Victor.

"I still remember our first fight(More like my first beat down)" Victor muttered.

"We fought a lot here, so the score now should be 15-1 not bad for 3 and a half days of training, no?"Victor.

"See, look towards the bright side."Ivy.

"At least he got his one tag early, I needed three years before I could get to one"Jane.

"I needed two years for mine."Anna.

"I still haven't even tagged her yet."Briggs.

"Wait, you all learned from her too?"Victor.

"Yeah, how do you think we got so crazy, you think any normal teacher would do?"Jane.

"I thought it was that hell's training room."Victor.

"Nah, we had mostly our ability tested back at the facility, I wanted to try the H.T room at first but I got too scared to go in, so HQ took us to Miss ivy for physical training and somehow I wished I stayed back at H.Q, hehe" Jane explained.

"Anna has been here since you were a kid?"Victor asked.

"Woah!"

"Oof"

Victor fell off her lap and landed on the floor when she stood up to hug anna.

"Yes and she's been my best friend ever since," Jane said while hugging Anna.

"Get off, you're smothering me!"Anna said trying to push Jane.

"No way, you like it, you're just being tsundere about it," Jane said while smushing her cheeks together with anna's.

Briggs stood up.

"Well, thanks for your help Ivy we appreciate you helping him get this far," Briggs said while bowing his head.

Anna stood up.

"Yeah without you he'd probably be baggage to the rest of us," Anna remarked as she also lowered her head.

Jane stood up.

"Thanks, teacher it's been nice seeing you again, and thank you for helping our friend," Jane said lowering her head.

"Thank you, we hope to see you again"Anna/jane/Briggs.

Victor and Kelvin looked in surprise at how much respect they had for her.

"Jeez you kids are gonna make me laugh, get out of here and make sure you come back safely, if I see even ONE scratch on ANY of you you're dead," Ivy said trying to get rid of the solemn mood.

They all walked outside her cabin, but before he left victor turned around and said:

"I hated you the first time I was here, you twisted my ankle, dislocated my shoulder and shoved it in the wrong way, nearly killed me twice but....but thank you for helping me, I really do appreciate it that you didn't give up on me, maybe a beating is what I needed to get me back on track, now I'm one step closer in achieving my goal," Victor said as he lowered his head in respect.

"Thank you teacher and I hope I get to see you again."Anna.

He walked out the door.

Ivy gave a small smile and said:

"Humph, I guess he'll be fine after all."

*******************

They left the cabin and walked to the river where they landed the first time.

"Wow, this place still looks as terrifying as when I first fell out of it."Victor.

"You wanna go for round two?"Kelvin.

"Never!"Victor.

"So..... how are we going to get back up?"Victor.

"I left a rock somewhere up there to cast a shadow for us to get close."Jane

"How does that help us- Woah!"

She dragged victor and the rest of them into her shadow it was a dark trip they came out of the other end of the shadow immediately.

"That was.....fun."Victor.

"Awww."Jane

"Why are you sorrowfully "Aww-ing" at me?"Victor.

"You didn't scream."Jane groaned.

"Yeah, I indeed miss hearing you scream, go back to factory settings."Kelvin.

"I see....you two monsters were feeding off my fear!"Victor.

(Lol)"No, no, no...well yes, it was kind of funny seeing someone who was trying to be edgy."Jane.

Anna and Briggs snickered in the background,

Victor looked embarrassed.

Then their faces turned serious.

"We heard from anna over there that your former personality was a shy kid who couldn't speak his mind clearly and was typically afraid, then you changed over and tried to be edgy."Kelvin.

"We know why you wanted to change and why you are still hostile towards us, I'm sorry about what happened to your parents."

Victor looked surprised,

POV: Victor.

They've never spoken like this before.

"But if we had let you become who you were going to become with that attitude you would have been driven to darkness," Jane said looking into his eyes.

"Yeah, there are other types of ways to grieve, holding it inside isn't one of them."Kelvin.

"Humph, sorry to disappoint but I'm not grieving, I already did at the funeral, but I'll still never give up on finding those murderers, my heart is sealed on that and there's nothing anyone can say to change it, I'll fall into darkness if I have to!"Victor.

He looked at all of them, anna avoided eye contact, he saw that they were getting a bit uncomfortable and stopped talking.

"But I guess, you guys did make me feel better, I'm grateful for that."He said with a smile.

Anna looked distressed about this for some reason.

They went into the medium-sized hole in the slope one by one.

Finally, after three days of living in a mountain, Victor would get to go back to sleeping in a comfortable bed.....or so he thought
