Chapter 08: Deal with Moon

However, I had a backup plan. Since I showed my goodwill, it's time to make an offer. To make Artemis agree I had a very important bragging chip. Life of Zoe Nightshade current lieutenant of Artemis's hunt. Zoe's death is the first death of the second Titan war and the major reason Original Luke become so hated by the Olympian side and demigods.

"I am sure you'll be freed pretty soon. But not without a price"

"What did you mean?" Artemis asked.

"Your brother's oracle already foresaw one of the Quest members will die in the hand of the parent. And Atlas is very excited to meet his daughter again." I said.

"You...what do you want?" Artemis asked gritting her teeth.

"I will make sure Your lieutenant leaves this place in one piece. Of course, it's not free."

"What do you want? Aren't you working for Kronos?"

I was surprised by how she handled the situation calmly. She even trying to gain more information. This was a chance to change her opinion about my allegiance.

"Let's just say you owe me a favored lady Artemis. As for who I am working with? I am only working for myself. Let's stop the small talk. Do we have a deal lady Artemis"

"Yes, but you have to swear on river Styx." She said. The reason I didn't force any reward was, that I and Artemis had never met before. I am an enemy of Olympus and she didn't know me in person. But now I can change my character from a pawn of Kronos to someone who works for own benefit. I am letting the gods think I am someone who can be used instead of eliminated.

"Very well, I swear on the river Styx I will make sure Zoe Nightshade will not die by Atlas's hand," I said.

"I know Gods don't have much effect even if they swear on Styx. So I believe you are not low enough to go back on your words lady Artemis." I was not worried about she will break her promise because her pride won't allow it.

I was confident in saving Zoe's life even with the prophecy because of my title 'Fate Breaker'. I only have to make sure Zoe will not get poisoned and hit by Atlas.

"Then I will take by leave lady Artemis. Make sure to hold the sky tight." I said mockingly and left her Alone. I was sure if it wasn't because of the sky she would break few of my teeth.

The next morning Atlas I met Atlas waiting at the base of the mountain. He was very angry.

"That damn manticore. Stupid monster can't do a simple job" He was shouting.

"What's happened, General?" I asked acting as if not know anything. Atlas probably found about Thorn.

"Thorn went missing, not even the mercenaries with him didn't know anything. I put him to catch those half-bloods but this piece of shit is nowhere to find." Atlas said in an angry voice.

"You can't trust that manticore. He never faced heroes before. I am saying he just got scared and run away. But it won't affect our plan. They will come to save the goddess for that they have to come here."

"I guess you are right. But that manticore dared to disobey my command. The command of the General of the Titan army. He must be punished." Atlas said calming down.

"Don't worry I have hundreds of better soldiers on my ship" I said. It was the truth. Unlike normal mercenaries and monsters, on Princess Andromeda, there are dozens of demigods trained for battle and monsters trained to fight side by side with demigods. But the biggest disadvantage was ship had to be continuously moving. It can't be stopped in one place for more than a few days because gods will find it. Even at this time, It's on the sea away from San Francisco. It was good because the army on the ship could be an obstacle to executing my plan to help Artemis. I can't let Titans find what I am doing.
