Ferris Wheel

She paused upon noticing how pale he appeared.

Seeing how he reached out to her like that made her see him as someone pitiful for an instant there. Those blue eyes of his bore great resemblance to Evelyn.

She placed her hand on her face out of frustration. She couldn't bring herself to be cold-hearted and pull her sleeve away from him.

It wouldn't take much effort on her part to do that either, considering how lightly he held on to her as if afraid of agitating her.

She bit down on her lower lip and groaned. 

"Fine. You win!"

With that, she held his hand. For a second, she felt him stiffen before he took the initiative to intertwine his fingers with hers.

That caused her eyes to narrow, and she about to scold him for taking a mile when she only allowed for an inch.
