He placed a gentle kiss on my forehead before seeing me off. I went home with a smile as if I was fine to prevent mum from getting worried. She was already getting mum luggage packed so that I won't t leave anything behind.
The day began to move faster that expected till my flight day arrived. Taylor came around to see me move my luggage into the land cruiser which was parked in front of the house. I went to speak to him before leaving. It was the saddest moment of my life and we made promises to each other that we were going to wait and get married in the future.
I saw mum coming so we said our goodbyes and for the first time, I saw his eyes were filled with tears .
We set off to the airport and writhing few hours, I already missed him so much. I went through the necessary check in process and finally got on board.
In no time, the plane took off and I could see everything disappearing one after the other. I arrived safely in the states and whatever mum had planned was at she had said. She had an apartment bought and registered in my name and everything I needed was at my disposal. Seconds moved to minutes, minutes to hours, hours to days and days to weeks since u arrived in the states. I was still in touch with Taylor and a day never went by without us speaking over the phone .The weeks were now moving faster to months and months to years that I even developed the American ascent. I also got used to the things around me. Most of the guys in my college were close to me which made my stay a lively one.
It had been two years since I moved to the state and most of the guys wished to date me because I had grown into a beautiful lady and I was given the name 'college goddess' at the law institute where I further my law career.
Even though I spoke to Taylor more often, I still missed him. He was the only o e who could understand me, love me and comfort me when I was bored or sad.
I got my phone broken in school one day and I lost all my contacts. I got myself a new phone and a laptop as fast as I could. Even though I replaced my phone, I still didn't have any old contacts and I felt like hell without talking to Taylor just even for a day.
Aikens approached me in the hall while I was quiet lost in thoughts. He never looked happy whenever he saw a worried expression on my face so I tried to hide my worries but he was fast enough to know I was faking the smile.
