Chapter 3: First Mission

At the gate, the watchman saw someone with a motorcycle and asked "ID please?"

"I don't have one." Gabby replied

"Then you can't come in."

Gabby opened her motorcycle shield and showed her face to the watchman.

"Oh sorry Miss Gabriella I didn't know it was you, you can come in" the watchman said and alerted his partner to open the gate. Gabby closed her shield and went through the opened gate. She parked her motorcycle, took off her helmet to place it on the handle and went into the administration. She walked to the front office and went to the front desk.

"Hello may I speak to Mrs. Moltenore please?" She asked

The front desk lady stared at her after she just looked up from her computer, "And who are you, honey? May I please have your full name and your student ID?"

"Uh I don't have an ID and my name is Gabriella Moltenore"

"You don't have an ID? Didn't you get one at the beginning of the year?"

"Sorry I'm not even in this scho-"

"What do you mean? How do you even know one of our staff names?"

"She's my mother duh"

"Excuse me! How old are you? Are you new or something?"

"Are you?"

"How dare you speak to me that wa-"

"Okay Rachel calm down, she will be a student next year once she is done with high school and yes, she knows the staff here." Mr. Evans popped out of one of the offices while the front desk lady, Rachel had hidden her red face of the embarrassment she just made right now.

"Uh whatever, take this girl to Mrs. Moltenore and let me have my peaceful time, please." Rachel rolled her eyes annoyed.

Gabby and Mr. Evans left the front desk to go to Mrs. Moltenore's office.

"Rude," Gabby blurted.

"I see you're in a bad mood today uh, what the matter? Any help?" Mr. Evans glanced at Gabby.

"No, nothing, I'm good. How is your day going?" Gabby asked.

"It's going pretty good until it shocked me when I heard you and Rachel conversation earlier, Do you know her?"

Gabby rubbed her arms, "No, I don't know her and I thought she was new or something."

"Yup, she is new here and sometimes she doesn't get along with the freshman that much."

"Oh," she nodded.

They're both walking silently until Gabby has something piped out of her mind.

"Hey Mr. Evans, you don't mind if I use your library card to get some books?" Gabby said.

"What books are you getting for?" Mr. Evans lifted his eyebrows through his glasses.

"It's for an upcoming senior project."

"Oh, that sound important"

"Yup," Gabby agreed.

"What is it about?"

"Well the project is about what college or university you're going to once you graduate high school. I need some books that talk about the history of Veteris." Gabby explained.

"Hmm, sounds interesting… Why don't we go to the library first together to show you some books that might catch your attention and then you can go to your mom okay?" Mr. Evans suggested.

"Alright." Gabby replied and they both went to the library. On their way, Gabby sees her grandfather talking tree that he always talks to. It's fascinating her at the start, but then it got weirder and embarrassing to her. These days are now not like those years that her parent used to live. Today, everyone is doing their own things and being in a position there on.

Sometimes, these days Gabby will always feel something weird in her, can it be mental or physical? She's been thinking about it for a while and she was being stressed when she got into high school. Can it be the blood of her witches and vampires? Or is she-

"We're here," Evans pointed out.

The library still looked the same as in past years. They both got in and there were many humans and little bit of vampire sitting down in their seat, some studying, chit chatting, reading, doing homework and etc.

"Okay look, I forgot that I have important things to do right now , but here is my card and don't lose it. When you're done go to your mom and hand it to her and then you can go chat with your mom."

"Mhmm" Gabby responded, Mr. Evans handed the card to her and left the building.

Gabby tiredly walked up the stairs to the second floor and when she was almost in the Veteris section…

"Oh love right there…omg faster!"

"What the fuck" Gabby whispered while the couple were moaning.

Gabby quickly slammed her foot to the bookshelf to get the couple attention.

"Omg, what was that love? Did you hear that?" A freshman girl asked her boyfriend worried.

"It's nothing, babe…lets continue" the boy teased.

"Can you not do it in the library and go do it somewhere else? Maybe not in public?" The couple surprisingly jumped while Gabby leaned on the bookshelf glaring at them.

"And who are you to ask, little girl?"

"Ur mom, get out of here or I will?" Showing her red eyes to them.

"Love what's that" the girl was shocked looking at Gabby eyes.

"Nothing babe lets go" They both got dressed and the boy got the girl's hand and left the row.

"He better compelled her before it's too late." She smirked while walking to find the things she needed. Gabby grabbed some ancient books that belonged to this place and sat down to read some of them. But nothing interested her, just few like two. She got up, put the rest back and took her two favorites downstairs. She went to the check out, "May I please check out these two."

The Liberian scanned the two books, "Library card?" Gabby reached into her pockets and gave it to him.

"This is Mr. Evans card?"

"He told me I could borrow it since I don't have one yet."

"Are you new here?

"Next year, yea"

He stared at her confused.

"I'm the daughter of Julianne and Roman Moltenore, Gabriella Moltenore," She said.

"Oh sorry, I didn't even know it was you, it's been a long time I haven't seen you, here you go."

He gave me the card back, "Have a good day, Gabby!"

"Thank you and you too." Gabby grabbed her books and left the building block.

"Why is everyone so annoying?" She blurted and rolled her eyes while going to her next mission. To her mom's office.
