Chapter 31: Sweet Dreams

Albedo flew through the air tailing behind Scarlet, she swung her sword at her hard knocking Scarlet out of the air for a moment. Scarlet cursed under her breath as she spun around in the air and swung Black Rose at Albedo. Sword clashing with Scythe, metal against metal sparks flying with each clash.

"You're not going to win, no matter what you're planning to do." Albedo said with a hiss as she kicked Scarlet in the gut.

Scarlet grabbed her foot as she smirked and swung her around before tossing her down, the Grimm girl smirked as she flew down towards Albedo. "Win? Please, This world is going to be ash before I can do anything with it." She rammed her knee into Albedo's gut knocking her down quicker.

Albedo crashed down through some trees as she hit the ground hard, Scarlet landed gracefully like it was nothing. She stood on a tree branch and looked down at the Succubus. Albedo coughed as she slowly got up, her armor was keeping her protected but her helmet was cracked. As she slowly stood up, she slammed her sword into the ground. She took her helmet off and tossed it to the side.

"Where are you?" Albedo asked as she scanned around. "Show yourself!" She was on alert and on her guard. "You're a coward, hiding amongst the trees."

Scarlet grinned as she squatted down on the branch, she looked at another branch and reached for it. Once she grabbed it, she snapped it off, she then looked down at Albedo who was still on the ground below her. "Me a coward? Please, you can't even tell where I am. You call yourself a Succubus, but yet you can't cast any lustful magic spells on someone like me to make me obey."

Albedo growled as she continued to look around. "Why would I waste my time with you like that? I'm not that type of Succubus anyway, so you don't have any room to assume what I can and can't do." The Succubus threw her sword away as she replaced it with her iconic ax.

Scarlet snickered as she grinned again. Going quiet, the Grimm girl jumped from the tree branch she was on and held the other branch in her hand and went in for a stab. She was going to stab Abledo in the eye or some place else on her body, but that was cut short as she felt Albedo's ax slice her in half. Scarlet's split body fell onto the ground right in front of Albedo.

Albedo looked down and scoffed as she slammed her foot onto Scarlet's head. "That was too easy. I honestly don't see any reason why Shalltear seems to think you're not human."

Albedo would then swing her ax up as she was about to swing it down to cut Scarlet in half once more. But Scarlet had other plans, despite her body literally being cut in half, the Grimm girl reached up and placed her hands onto Albedo's face. "Sleep for eternity."

Albedo's body collapsed onto the ground as the Succubus fell into a deep sleep. Scarlet pushed her off of herself as she rolled over towards her lower body and reattached herself together, Scarlet jumped up to her feet she looked down at her arm seeing the vines from the Nightmare Grimm still here, she smirked as she then looked back at Albedo who was sleeping. It was obvious what she had done.

"Sweet dreams." Scarlet whispered as she laughed. "May you never wake up again." Her laugh grew louder and louder, sure it was a dirty trick and cheating to beat the Succubus. But in reality what other choice did she have in the matter? She walked over to the sleeping Succubus as she looked down at her. "A bit of advice, magic spells won't work on waking you up. Consider this a parting gift.... you're welcome." Scarlet sprouted her Nevermore wings and flew off into the air.

As Scarlet flew through the air, she began to ponder just what exactly she should do now. But her train of thought was cut short when she heard the blood chilling shriek and roar of Destoroyah. She stopped midair and looked around, it wasn't hard spotting the creature as it was twice the size of a tree now, she kept her gaze on it for a moment as she pondered for a moment. There was one, but where was the rest? She scanned the area for a moment not seeing any signs of the other Destoroyah's. Then it clicked in her head, the giant one was a combination of all the Destoroyah's. A wide grin spread across her face again as she laughed, the idea of multiple Grimm joining together to make a massive version was such a brilliant idea. This was an idea that even Salem, her own mother could never come up with. Not that she really cares since Salem is dead once again.

"Interesting..." Scarlet mumbled as she snickered. "But... getting that thing under my control will be troublesome... and very hard." She crossed her arms as she sniffed the air, the air grew cold around her as she turned her head to the side. "I was starting to think you'd never show up.... Shalltear."

Shalltear gritted her teeth as she looked at Scarlet, the vampire was armored to the teeth, her red armor covered her from head to toe as she held her spear in her right hand. "How were you able to beat Albedo so easily? Just what the hell are you anyway? You don't seem like any humanoid creature I've seen in my entire life. Let alone encountered."

Scarlet snickered a bit. "Well duh, but I know what you are though. You're a vampire, so there's no denying that. I've encountered the king of vampires himself Dracula, but of course he goes by the name Alucard." She kept her arms crossed as she turned upside down. "Not that it matters if you know of him or not. A vampire is still a vampire, but I on the other hand.." She uncrossed her arms as she threw her left arm forward as it stretched out and grabbed Shalltear by the throat. "I can be your worst nightmare." She was ignoring Shalltear's other question however, she didn't care if the question was the main topic.

She was going to make sure that her true goals in this world were accomplished, she didn't care if she had to be evil again. It just made her feel good knowing that she could back stab people who've relied on her in their problems, maybe that was it.... maybe she wanted to revert to her evil ways. She knew that she had a family waiting for her back home, but at the same time. She couldn't do anything, she needed to find Queen and stop her at all costs, her grip on Shalltear's neck tightened as the Grimm girl was tempted in putting the vampire into a deep slumber like Albedo, but something inside her rose up from the depths of her body. Something that craved murder and bloodshed.

Shalltear reached up as she placed her hand onto Scarlet's arm, and squeezed it tightly before snapping it. Scarlet's arm hand snapped as her bone was sticking out through her arm, she didn't seem to pay it much mind. But Shalltear did however stab her spear through Scarlet's stomach, she pulled her closer towards her slowly. "You are going to tell me what you have done to Albedo, how were you able to beat her so easily?" Shalltear's blood red eyes glowed with anger, sure her and Albedo always fought over Ainz. But she wasn't going to let some lowlife life form she had no info on ruin her rivalry with Albedo. "Answer me dammit!"

Scarlet started to laugh as she ripped her broken arm off and tossed it down, a Grimm arm grew in place of the now torn off arm. She laughed insanely as she grinned from ear to ear, it was almost like whatever she had kept locked up inside her was coming out. But it was just her inner Grimm, Scarlet licked her lips as she looked at Shalltear. "Tell me something... how do you taste? Do you taste bitter? Or do you taste sweet?"

Shalltear shivered as if she had met the reincarnation of the devil himself, but she gritted her teeth. "Shut up! Answer my question!"

Scarlet scoffed as she looked down and pulled the spear out of her stomach, pulling herself free from how close she was to the vampire. The wound healed up and closed, the Grimm girl glared at Shalltear. "No, I don't think I will." Her grin was a twisted and sinister one, Shalltear could see her vampire-like fangs. "Now then, let us dance."

Shalltear gritted her teeth more as she prepared herself for whatever Scarlet was going to throw her way. Time stopped as Scarlet had used her semblance, she rushed forward towards Shalltear and slashed Black Rose at her, she then yanked the spear out of her hand and tossed it aside before grabbing her arm and twisting it. Scarlet then blinked allowing time to resume. Shalltear took the damage but it didn't do much to her, her armor protected her from any fatal blows.

"I see, so.... your armor protects you from my attacks. I wish I could say the same for Albedo, but I must say. She's going to be living her best dream she ever had." Scarlet said with a chuckle. "But what shall you do? When you can't wake her from her slumber." The Grimm girl turned around as she looked at Shalltear. "An eye for an eye, but in this case.... a soul for a soul."

Shalltear was confused, what did she mean by that. Not that it mattered to her what she meant, she was still going to make sure she paid. Shalltear turned around she knew she didn't have her spear in hand, she didn't need it to fight back she had her magic she could use. But which one, she was silent as a few thoughts ran through her head.

"What's wrong? Are we now realizing how terrifying I can be?" Scarlet asked grinning widely, she rushed towards Shalltear again as she was then hit by an invisible force sending her back. "The hell?"

Shalltear smirked, her cocky attitude was getting the best of her now. "Oh I'm sorry, it seems I forced an explosion on you to knock you back." She laughed a bit as she was slowly turning invisible. Shalltear was using what magic she was thinking of that would give her the upper advantage, she was silent now as she stayed invisible.

Scarlet's nose twitched as she sniffed the air. Shalltear was taking her for a fool, a Grimm's nose was strong. She could smell where Shalltear was at, but she played dumb and stupid to make the vampire think she had her. "Oh. Invisibility? How will I know where you are?" The Grimm girl glanced around her surroundings, her eyes moving as she scanned the area. "I can't possibly see you."

Scarlet crashed down onto the ground as she strangled Shalltear, the Grimm girl cackled as she looked at the vampire with hungry eyes, blood trickled down both their faces. Shalltear gagged and gasped as she was foaming at the mouth.

"If I can't win in this world of yours. Then perhaps, you shall die by my hands!" Scarlet barked as she dug her fingernails into Shalltears neck. "You will know what true terror is, no longer will you be standing at Ainz's side. Nor will Albedo, no one will." She dug her nails deeper into her as she cackled like crazy.

Shalltear struggled and gags more as she continued to foam at the mouth. Her body was going limp slowly, her arms had been ripped out of their sockets and her regeneration wasn't even kicking in. Could it be because she lost a good amount of blood? Was it something that Scarlet had done to her? She couldn't tell, but her eyes were slowly rolling to the back of her head.

"Yes, die for me. Die and be consumed." Scarlet said with a sinister tone. She tore open Shalltear's throat as she yanked her fingers out of her neck, her fingers and nails drenched in blood. The Grimm girl lifted her bloody hands up as she licked the blood off of them. "Mmm, delicious. So this is what you taste like, a sweet and bitter taste." Her eyes nearly bugled out from their sockets as she laughed more.

Shalltear was on death's door, one final push would end her before she could do anything else. She began to wonder if Ainz and the others were watching, watching for their own amusement or just simply watching unable to help out. tears rolled down her face as her eyes were all the way in the back of her head now. She continued to foam at the mouth, this was it. She knew her life was over. All that was left now was a cruel and unforgiving death.

Scarlet stood up slowly as she looked down at the vampire, she licked her lips as she unhinged her jaw widely and started to stuff Shalltear's body into her mouth, swallowing the vampire. Her hunger was craving her to devour something or someone, and that was exactly what she was doing.

A group of adventurers were passing by as they stopped, the group was known as Blue Roses. Evileye looked on in horror as her and her comrades were tasked to stop Desotroyah, but the size of the new Grimm was bigger than they had thought. But when they had seen what Scarlet was doing, it didn't last long before the Grimm girl took notice of them. She slurped up Shalltear's ponytail like a noodle and grinned at them with a hungry gaze.
