CHAPTER 41(Ruby's pov)

I woke up the following morning the same time I woke up yesterday and saw Arthur leaving the palace so I quickly followed him avoiding the guard at the gate. I kept on following him and noticed that he wasn't going the same way he went last time because he passed through the forest and arrived at a clearing which led to a beautiful place with rocks that had flowers on them, Arthur walked up to a woman lying on one of the rocks while I went to hide somewhere I could hear them "hey Carrie"he said "hey Arthur"she said smiling sweetly "I'm here for business"he said "I can see that but you don't look prepared"she said with a teasing smile"I'm very prepared for anything carrie all I need now is for you to tell me what else to do to become more powerful"he said "I will tell you what you need to do next Arthur but on a condition"she said "which is?"he asked "I need you to give me some of your blood"she said "my blood?"Arthur asked confused "just get me some of your blood that's all I need"she said "why my blood? what do you need it for?"he asked "none of your business Arthur the blood is all I need"she said "alright if you insist but we can't do it today I'll come back next week to this same place"he said "why not today?"she asked "I have to think about it"Arthur said "so you are leaving now?"she asked "of course I am"he said "alright then Arthur I'll be expecting you next week as you said"she said and Arthur left.

I came out of where I was hiding immediately I saw Arthur had left and walked up to the woman, now that I was close to her I could see what she looked like "who are you?"she asked "none of your business"I said and she rolled her eyes "I'm here to warn you carrie whatever you are planning to use Arthur to accomplish just come off it cause I wouldn't let it work"I said "oh I'm so scared"she said mockingly "do you think a little talk like this can make me stop my plans, Jessica will take over everything including your souls and you won't be able to do a thing about it"she said before letting out an evil laugh "who's Jessica?"I asked "why don't you go find out"she said still laughing "so you need Arthur's blood for something I don't know, but I promise you Carrie I'll stop you and destroy whatever plan you have"I said before I turned to go "I'll like to see you try"she said and I turned around but she was gone with no trace of her presence so I turned to return to the palace, Arthur was already home so I had to pretend that I've been at home since morning so I won't be suspected.
