Chapter 4 - System Store

Visiting the blacksmith was not as interesting as Theo thought it would be. Instead of finding cool overpowered weapons or a mysterious master blacksmith, all he found was some everyday kitchen knife, normal looking daggers and tools like pick axe and axes.

The only blacksmith there was a middle aged blacksmith busy working on a block of glowing iron while speaking to a teenager which looked to be his apprentice.

After he decided that there wasn't much to look at, Theo went to eat some desserts with Alex before going back home.

"Well, there's part of the territory for you" Alex said to Theo on their way home. "You can go around the territory yourself next time but don't forget to bring a knight with you as it might be dangerous if you were to leave alone. I'll be going to the academy in the capital next year so I won't be able to bring you around."

"You'll be leaving next year?" Theo asked.

"Yeah. Nobles usually attend the academy from the age of 12 to 16 in the capital. You would have to go there as well when you reach 12. Don't worry, I'll be there when you enrol so you won't be bullied."

"Pffttt, I bet you would have a higher chance of being bullied not me. Plus you would be graduated and back in the territory by the time I enrol." Theo rolled his eyes. Although he didn't want to admit it, he is probably going to miss this sticky gum of a brother.

Recounting the years with his fingers, 'he's right, I would be graduated by then' Alex thought.

"Yes, yes. My little brother is the smartest in the world." Alex laughed rubbing Theo's head much to his protest.

"Of course I am"

[Narcissism isn't a good trait host]

'Shut it system. Is there a mute button available?'

[Unfortunately for Host, no]

Theo swore at the system betting that it was feeling smug.

4 years later

Time passed uneventfully. Theo spent the past four years doing his daily training quest collecting points. Just like the system warned, the daily quest became more demanding.

Ding!

[Daily Quest Completed! Rewards: 150 Points]

'Well, though the daily quest is getting more demanding, at least the rewards increased as well' Theo thought happily.

He has also spent some of his time learning swordsmanship from the knights.

Store (Comand 'store' to open)

Thanks to the two potions he had years before, his stats would increase quicker than a normal person. His stats were similar to that of 16 year old knight in training although he was only 10.

'Well, this is all thanks to the Body Strengthening Potion'

Theo also did some extra training of his own in addition to the daily quest which helped increased his stats as well.

He looked at the system store after looking at the points he have. The Store is separated in two parts, item Store and skills Store.

As there are almost infinite items and skills in the system. It only showed products recommended by the system, products he would be most likely interested in and products he could afford.

He first looked at the items section. He was glad to find that guns were really available, but ended up frowning when he saw the price. A single glock was priced at 1 million Points, while the a single normal bullet priced at 2000 Points and the silencer was priced at 250k Points.

[Guns does not match the settings on this world making it cost much higher than it would back in your previous life.]

'Fair enough' sighing, Theo continued to look at items that he was interested in.

'System, how much points are necessary to increase inventory?'

[200 Points to increase inventory by 5 as of now. Prices will increase as inventory space increases]

'I'll decide after I look at the skills later'

Before confirming on the items he wanted, he decided to checkout the skills shop in case if he doesn't have enough Points.

[Skills recommended by system will be shown in shop.]

Language Translator - 10,000 Points

Daggers Throwing lvl 1 - 600 Points...

There were too many too many skills listed. With so many Points saved after 4 years of daily Quest, drool could be seen at Theo's mouth.

'Time for shopping!!!'

Unsurprisingly, he picked the first 5 listed skills I'm the store. Bringing is Points down to 82,400 Points.

'I don't need too many skills as of now. I can save my Points for later.'

He then increased his inventory space by 5.

[400 Points are needed to increase the inventory by 5 again]

He increased another 5 space.

[800 Points are needed to increase the inventory by 5 again]

'Looks like the cost double every 5 space'

He now had 15 inventory space.

Going back to the items he was interested in, he bought,

2 Health Potion - 1000 Points each

- Able to heal any physical wounds by 80% as long as HP is above 10/???.

Dagger - 50 Points

- Basic dagger with no attributes

Bow - 100 Points

- Basic bow with no attributes

Arrows - 10 Points

- sold in a bunch of 5

- Basic Arrows with no attributes.

Which ended up taking 5/15 inventory space, leaving him 79,640 Points.

Theo decided against buying anything fancy and bought the 2 health potions for emergency uses only. Since some skills can be learnt, Theo decided to buy a bow and some Arrows to practice on his own saving himself some points.

He could have done the same for blacksmithing but it would be too much trouble to look for a master to teach him. He bought the dagger throwing skill as he couldn't be bothered to learn the skill, he wanted to spend time practising other skills instead.

Theo planned to increase his strength out of public eyes or he might end up attracting unwanted attention. He has decided to only focus on swordsmanship in front of his family while hiding his other skills.

[Congradulations! Host has learnt to be slightly smarter to not be killed like an idiot]

'Does it hurt to say something nice to me once in a while?' Theo thought with a fake smile.

After sorting everything out, he left the training ground.
