Chapter 20 - Bad Feeling

The finals was held after a short break to give Theo enough time to rest. The prize giving ceremony will be held later in the day.

After the finals ended and the winner decided, there would be a huge celebration for the closing of the harvest week and competition.

Before the fireworks go off at night, the winner will be invited up on stage to collect his prize from the king.

A short speech will then be given by the king followed by fireworks ending the harvest week. Since the fireworks would be held later in the evening, the academy didn't set a curfew for the day and allowed the students to stay out which only happens on rare occasions like today.

Theo could take his time to leave the area before the king arrives which would force them to pass on the prize to the runner up when they are unable to find him before the King's arrival.

The final match has arrived and Theo was called out of the waiting area which pulled him out of his thoughts. Readied he walked up on stage.

"Indra! Indra! Indra!"

"Haluk! Haluk! Haluk!"

The crowd could be heard cheering on the top of their lungs.

On stage, Haluk looked at Theo, "I'm sure you are not from Oriborn. Oriborn isn't able to give birth to someone like you. I hope I can enjoy this fight. Hahahahahahah, give me your best!" Haluk laughed before the fight holding his long spear behind his back.

"May we enjoy and have a good fight." Theo replied with a smile hidden behind his mask.

Haluk was slightly surprised as Indra almost never spoke to his opponents which made him happier as it seemed like they had the same thoughts. Haluk wasn't interested in the prize since he used a spear instead of a sword.

He was just looking for some fun and leave the kingdom after the competition ended. He didn't find anyone that could make him excited much to his disappointment until he met Indra.

Indra looked like he wasn't even trying in all his match which shows that he is very strong. Haluk was finally able to face a strong opponent in Oriborn before leaving his birthplace in search of stronger opponents outside this small kingdom.

"Hahahaahahah, I like you. May we have a good fight!" Haluk said with enthusiasm.

As soon as the referee gave the signal, both sides ran to the other and attacked at the same time.

The fight continued back and forth and Theo found that although it wasn't difficult, Haluk was obviously stronger and better than the opponents he have faced so far.

As the fight progressed, Haluk found it harder and harder against Theo.

'Hahhh, he sure is tough. I won't be able to win.' Haluk though with a laugh.

As the fight got more intense, Theo suddenly strike with his sword using most of his strength.

Tang!

The head of the spear Haluk was holding broke off ending the fight with Theo resting his sword against Haluk's neck.

"The winner for this year's Harvest Weeks Fighting Competition... IINNNDRAAAA!!!!" The announcer screamed into the sound amplifier.

"INDRA!!! INDRA!! INDRA!!!"

Looking at Haluk's spear, although it's of average grade and quality, Theo felt guilty for breaking the man's weapon.

Holding his hand out to help Haluk stand, he spoke, "You are the toughest opponent I've faced so far. I owe you a spear since I broke yours. I'll have one delivered to the inn you're staying. Don't leave the capital before it arrives."

Grabbing his hand, Haluk replied, "Ahahahahah, the spear was worn out and I was planning on getting a new one before leaving Oriborn anyways. Since you have offered, I'll wait for my new speak then."

"Sure, which inn are you staying? It would be easier to know now instead of asking around later."

After giving Theo the name of the place he was staying at, Haluk added with a smile before leaving, "I hope I'll get to face you again outside Oriborn. I will be stronger by then so don't stay too idle."

Theo and Haluk then left the stage under the gaze and cheers of the people at the plaza.

Returning to the waiting tent, Theo wore the cloak he left behind and pull up the hood. He then activated his Fade out skill and left the area with his mask still on hidden under the hood.

Walking among the crowd, Theo walked in the direction of the outskirt while looking for a suitable place to change.

On the way, he felt a few people following him but couldn't point out nor confirm his feelings.

'To be able to discover me with my Fade out skill activated, they must be extremely dangerous.'

Theo then entered an abandon alley and used his shadow cloaking skills hiding in the shadows. He decided to stay for a minute to see who was following him before leaving in the shadows.

Three men suddenly appeared out of then air in the alley, unaware Theo was there, they started talking.

"Shit, we lost him."

"He must have sensed us somehow and used a teleportation talisman."

"He should be planing on leaving the capital seeing how he left as soon as the competition ended."

"Although he doesn't seem to know of the plan nor is going to interfere, we should inform the leader in charge."

After the conversation, the three left the alley with Theo confused.

'Plan? Leader in charge?'

Theo had a bad feeling something big was going to happen.

He then moved to the restroom of a restaurant nearby and changed his clothes and disguise as Asher and left for his inn.

Entering his inn, he found it less crowded than usual since most of the locals should be at the plaza waiting for the King's speech and fireworks.

Feeling slightly restless, Theo checked the tracking skill he left on Max and found him on the academy training ground. Not feeling any better after hearing the conversation, Theo opened up his system store and bought a few cheap lowest grade teleportation talisman paper for 100 points each and stored then in his inventory

Teleportation Talisman Paper (lowest grade)

- Able to teleport with 3 people maximum within the radius of 50km.

Feeling slightly better, Theo ordered a light beer from the bar and drank in the bar while waiting for the day to pass hoping that he was over thinking.

[Host should drink less and keep vigilant.]

The system reminded Theo. Seeing how the system warned him, Theo decided to have some cider instead while asking Emma to prepare him a meal.

He could then hear the fireworks going off in the plaza, looking around with a few regulars drinking in the bar.

'I should return to the academy when the people staying at the inn starts returning.' Theo thought, as it would be to late by then.
