Chapter 3: 20 Years!

John didn't know how long he was floating in darkness. He had no idea what was happening for what seemed like a lifetime. All he could remember was looking at the color of the sun changing. In truth, John was in a lab floating in a giant tube with some type of green liquid. Dozens of scientists surround the lab.

"When do you think they will wake up?" one of the scientists asked a man in a black uniform.

"I don't know. Knowing John he will find a way. He is too smart to not be able to." The man in the black uniform sounded as if he knew John well. The scientists just looked at the other two tubes beside John.

"What of his friends?" The man looked over for a quick second.

"They are his friends so I'm sure they will as well." The man left the lab leaving the scientists to their work. 5 days passed and the man was back in the lab watching over John. The man came every day to look over John. He was reading when a whole bunch of people came flooding into the room. A red siren started blaring in the lab.

"What the hell is happening?" the man asked the scientists.

"They are about to awaken sir, all 3 of them." A huge smile appeared on the man's face. They waited for an hour and nothing happened. The man started to get furious.

"What the fuck. You said they were about to...." Just before the man finished the tube John was in started cracking. Suddenly John's eyes opened and they were completely black. They opened the tube, it burst open with green liquid. John was panting on the ground before his eyes returned to normal. John lifted his head and was shocked to see all these people staring at him. He was also shocked that he was naked.

"Where the hell am I?!" He shouted at them backing up.

"John, chill out, you have been sleeping for 20 years. They were just helping." The man with the black uniform who watched over John said.

John couldn't believe it. He didn't want to. He looked over and saw himself in one of the empty tubes. He looked the same.

" You all are lying! I look the same!" He slowly backed away.

" You're telling me you don't recognize me, little brother. I understand I'm older now but come on. I know you believe what I said. Think John, you have always been smart." The man said, looking at John. John knew he was right. He could feel it.

"What the hell happened to me, Jack?" John said as he approached his brother. The man in the black uniform called Jack just smiled lightly.

"We will talk later, let's get you some clothes. Your friends should wake up soon." A scientist came running at John and his brother with clothes for John. It was weird that he was being stared at when he was naked. John didn't care since they already saw everything he had to offer so he put the clothes on right there.

"So when are you planning to explain what happened Jack?" The wait was killing John.

"Before that answer me this. Is he still talking to you?" Jack said pointing at John's head. John closed his eyes and stayed quiet for a moment.

"Surprisingly no. He is probably not talking since he has an attitude problem."

"That's good. That other personality of yours is too dangerous to be out." Jack said with a hint of fear.

"You don't have to pester me with stuff I already know. Besides, I haven't let him out in forever. I don't need someone to tell me what I know. Just tell me, what the hell happened." John's eyes were devoid of emotion like he was about to snap. Jack looked at him for a moment.

'This brother of mine will bring this world to its knees.' Jack thought to himself. Finally, after some time, Jack said

"Just wait for your friends to wake up I will explain to you all." John sighed.

"Fine, I will wait."
