Chapter 11: Roommate?

A couple of weeks passed and it was finally time for John, Aria, and Alex to start school. The three of them were waiting in the living room waiting for Jack. He had told them that they would be residing on campus. The school required its students to stay on campus. Since they would be staying on campus at school, each had clothes packed in a bag.

"Are you all ready to go?" Jack called out as he came down the steps. Each of them nodded as they followed Jack outside and stepped into the limo. The car ride was pretty uneventful since the only person who didn't seem tired was Jack. They quickly got to school and Jack left, leaving the three of them to find their dorms. Aria left as well since the boys' and girls' dorms were on two separate sides of the school. There were three buildings altogether. All three of them were huge buildings and they were pretty long as well. The left building was the boy's dorm room. The middle building is where classes are held. The right side consists of the girl's dorm. There were also different grounds at the back of the school that was used for magic practice and other things.

Alex and John headed for the boys' dorm rooms. The inside of the building looked like a huge apartment building which was fitting for the building. They took out the letters they received a few days after they passed the test. It held their dorm number and floor. They were both happy with the room they got since they shared one. Their room was on the 5th floor and the number was 120. They got in the elevator and clicked the 5th-floor button. They were early so there weren't a lot of people who were there. So the elevator was empty on the way up. Once they reached the 5th floor, they discovered it was like a maze. There were so many twists and turns it seemed easy to get lost.

"If we get lost here we might die before someone finds us," Alex said, smiling wryly. John felt the same. It looked like they were in the back rooms since everything appeared to be the same. The only thing that changed from door to door was the number placed on them. Still, they began searching for their rooms. They found their room rather easily despite how everything was laid out. They had one of the first rooms located on the left as soon as you left the elevator.

"That wasn't terrible, Aria might not be so lucky though," John said as he pushed the door open. He was surprised to find someone already on one of the beds. There were three beds in the room: a bunk bed and a single bed. The guy lying down had a black sweatshirt on with black shorts with earbuds in. He also had curly black hair and light brown skin. You could tell that girls chase after him a lot by his looks alone. Although the guy had an I don't care vibe coming from him. John could tell who this guy was even though he could barely see what he looked like last time.

"It seems like Ezra is our other roommate," John said to Alex. Alex didn't know it was Ezra until John said something. Alex immediately looked upset that they were stuck with this guy.

"Great, we are stuck with him," Alex said as Ezra took off his earbuds and looked at John and Alex.

"Well, I didn't think I would be staying with you two. I can't believe they put me with you, vampire." Ezra said, shooting an evil look at Alex. John already knew he would have a huge headache at the end of the day.
