Chapter 7: The Library

[Author: Am so sorry for the late update, I had exams]

  As soon as reached Arcadia, Jake went straight to the market, he went to the forgery store to sell the beast crystals.

He met a guy named Sam and after bidding for minutes on the price the forger had no other choice but to accept it because he would gain more if he could turn all the crystals into armor.

     Jake got 5 gold picas. He was happy and he went back to Arcadia academy and straight to the library, he paid the fees of 3000 bronze.

   'System scans every book in the library and stores its data! ' said Jake to the system.

[Affirmative... scanning all books]

   Jake then took a book from the shelf that was titled "Acadia History"

 ' System please summarize this book!'

Arcadia was gradually linked into a loose confederation that included all the Arcadian villages and was named the League of the Arcadians. In the 7th century, it successfully faced the threat of many other kingdoms in Terran and the Arcadians managed to maintain their independence. In the following years, during the period of The beasts, the Arcadia general Rook reinforced the Arcadian kingdom to form a rival pole to the neighboring Kingdoms. Then he founded Terran, which became its new capital. Over the next centuries, Arcadia weakened. It initially was subjugated by the lack of people having mage root but was later said it was because of the lost kingdom skill.

    'Jake was left disappointed the main reason for him coming to the library was to know about the past king and his family and now it was locked. Jake just went to the other shelves and took another book and started reading.

   Soon he could see the library attendant heading toward his way with an angry look.

'He,y mister didn't you know that your1 hour has expired, pay up if you want to stay longer!'

Jake just sat there surprised he has only stayed for 40 and half minutes, and now the library attendant is telling him his time was up he got up.

  'Sir please have only stayed for 40 and half minutes, I still have more minutes left!' Jake replied.

'Will you shut up kid don't you know your elders when you see them, are you saying am lying or don't know how to count, now get the hell out of here!' The library attendant shouted at the top of his voice which alerted people in the library and soon Jake could see guards coming they took both of his hands dragged him outside of the library and threw him out.

   The library attendant was laughing and causing at Jake, Jake was so mad.

'You will pay for this!' he shouted back.

    He left the library for Arcadia academy when he reached he teleported inside his room and went straight to the bathroom to bath, the guards threw him inside the mud.

     'What happened to you man?' Anthony asked.

' It looks like you went to bath inside a mud pile!' Patrick said

   Jake then explained everything to his roommates, as soon as he was done explaining, Patrick got up from the bed.

   ' This kingdom is turning into something else, my late parents used to tell me that during the former king's rain, everything was peaceful and everyone was so humble and kind to each other, even the library and many other things were free, but since the former king died and his step brother took the throne everything changed!' Patrick said

   They just forgot about everything and got dressed for class. They all went to the mage class and the teacher was not still there, so many students were talking to each other and some were making noise.

    Jake sat with his friends and they also started talking then someone tapped Jake's shoulder and he immediately turned.

   'Please can we sit here, the other sits seems to be filled?' a girl of Jake's age said.

  'Yes! Yes! Yes! Jake said stammering, Patrick and Antony we're just staring at him.

 The girls smiled and she and her friend both sat down and they opened a book to read.

  'Hi my name is Jake and these are my friends.

'Am Anthony!' 

'Am Patrick!'

'Nice meeting you Kathy this is my friend Amy, and we are both mages!'

what that kind of money can for us?'

  Jake just stood there thinking then he asked.

  'Why so the Boss guy not send adults for the mining of the cloud energy instead of kids?'

  'You know a lot of people won't suspect kids going in and out of a place but they will suspect if it was an adult!' Anthony replied.

  Jake then thought of the reward though he didn't like the idea of smuggling, if they could get that kind of money then school life in Arcadia academy won't be hard.

  'Ok let's do it, so when is the day of the operation?' Asked Jake.
