21. Nightmares (Part 1)

Dhvani felt her cheeks red and face flushed as she walked out of the room, and the same time, it felt weird, she was acting weird actually! She shook her head, taking a deep breath, and went to the team which she was getting along with now! She always had put people away, but something, well everything related to this man had broke the rule she had set for herself! As she went in, she saw them chit-chatting!

She almost smiled when she heard their chattering, and giggles, as she took her seat, there surrounded the silence, and everyone's gaze had settled on her!

"Can we start?"

She smiled as they nodded and there went the session of practices, she gave each of them their alone time so that they could come up with something new and also had entertained them her assistance. She suddenly became so busy and for some odd reason she liked it! They had a break again and then it continued until the evening and she waited for Ajay while everyone waited for a while along with her until she said them to leave!

After sometime, Ajay came and she got into the car while Choi left who till now was with the man! Silence was everywhere as they travelled, after minutes which seemed like an hour, she took the initiative to break the silence! "What had you both talk about?"

He frowned, "Just a talk!" he shrugged.

She doubted it to be! "Well you left me unanswered yesterday!", now it was her who had a frown settled on face.

"I had asked about your family!" he reminded.

Oh, he did? She was too much into herself that she barely noticed him questioning it, and before even she did, she left the place! "There's.... nothing to be disclosed about it!!"

He said nothing for a brief moment before nodding, "But I liked your brother!"

"Why won't you go say him that? I am sure he would like that!!"

He chuckled, "Well....may I ask you something?"

"What?"

"Can I hear the song? The one whose tune was played on live, that day?"

She halted, tilting to see him, "Why?"

He shrugged, "I liked it very much, I want to hear it!"

She looked at him for a second more before tilting ahead, "Why should I?"

He sighed, "Only if you want!" he said with shook, who had already expected her to say this!

She breathed, "I am in no mood!"

He nodded, "Are you tired?"

She closed her eyes, why was he acting so nice today? "No!"

He said nothing more and she kept her eyes shut leaning back her head against the seat, and when he stopped, she shot her eyes open, making him realise that she hadn't dozed off! She looked sideways, and she was home, she tilted to him, "Thanks!" she said and was about to open the door but turned to look him back when he called out her name! She kept looking at him questioningly!

"What?!"

Ajay smiled with a shook, "Nothing! Thank you!!"

She frowned, "Why?"

He breathed and leaned against the seat without taking away his gaze from her, "I am in no mood to disclose it!"

Her brow raised, he did know how to tease! She was about to turn away, but there he goes again, "Aren't you going to welcome me in?" she threw draggers at him with just a glare but as she looked at him, slowly a frown settled on her face, something uncertain. "No! And.... goodnight!" she said and looked at him for a second more!

He nodded, "Goodnight!" he sighed leaning forward, ready to drive again, she said no more and got out of the car, after seeing him go away, she still could not know what was wrong with him! Why was he acting so nice, if her mind worked at its best, then it would only say one thing, Ajith! What had he exactly say to the man, did their conversation was what the cause for his change in attitude! And what had he thanked for?

As she got into the house, she still kept thinking about him! She wanted to make him remember everything, everything that he had forgot and once treasured for! But how?

She sighed, thinking no much, she took a bath and went straight to sleep!

While the other way, Ajay drove to his home, as usual he checked on Sanjay who was asleep now! He chuckled, the man always was into books, and then sleep! He sighed, not to blame him! After his parents passing away, he avoided everything, even him, he barely now talks with him! He didn't mind but, he just hoped for his brother to get back to his normal self, energetic and lovely!

Not wanting to disturb his little brother, he went to his own room, after having a bath, letting him feel fresh after all that tiredness he had out of the meeting, he fell on the bed, lazily!

And though he attempted to rest, his mind betrayed him, as what had Choi questioned him today while they were away from Star, wandered in his head!

"So will she just train them and leave?"

The man's question was unanswerable. She signed the contract for 6months, and she stated that in the whole period of time, she will be training them! He knew, she would help them become better, but what was ahead? He didn't know, it was her wish to stay or leave, and it would be selfish enough to hold her back! He just hoped the better to happen in future cause now he could do nothing else than that!

He almost chuckled when he recalled her reaction this morning when he acted so nicely, actually it was her brother who said him to be nice with her, they had talked about a lot but nothing in specific, when the man started saying about his sister, he just said what he already had guessed and ended up suggesting him to be nice with her! Just to satisfy him, he did it in front of him, and the reaction amazed him, so much that he continued it teasing her!

But minutes ago, he could really see her hidden, unasked questions when he thanked her! He couldn't answer her cause he himself didn't know why had he thanked her!

He took a deep breath, closing his eyes, letting himself rest, but again his dreams betrayed him.

Ajay was a kid now, and was running in the grass field, his parents were running as well to catch him, in the evening, the sun was almost setting, leaving behind the red and yellow shades in the sky, he giggled as he kept running away until his father caught and lifted him up with a laugh and his mother tickled him making him giggle and laugh out loud! And suddenly he was in school, seated, class was noisy, he got up and reached out for others, whose faces he couldn't see nor recognise, he attempted to talk with them, but they denied, 'You aren't our friend anymore!' a voice echoed, 'Stay away!!' another one! His surroundings suddenly became dark as he looked here and there around, and slowly he could hear the water flow now, it slowly became less darker as the sky above him was now full of stars, making him look up, he looked around and found himself seated near a riverbank, and suddenly he could feel someone beside, he turned and a girl was seated beside, he couldn't see her face, but her yellow frock was beautiful and the necklace was too! 'Are you leaving?' his own voice echoed and suddenly everything around him became dark again, only a hand that was visible, yet was glitching as if it would disappear at any moment, he felt the urge to catch it, hold it, and to not let it go, and he felt the same was otherwise, he streched his hand out, realising it was the girl's hand that was now glitching more, but as much as he streched his hand out, hers was moving further away from him, he started to run to catch until he could see the hand distancing and finally disappearing, he found himself in dark again, he looked around once again confused and suddenly a heavy beam of light hit him letting him unable to keep his eyes open, he could say they were headlights, but he couldn't resist them as his hands reached up shielding his eyes, and before even he could adjust to it, the car had hit him, throwing him away, everything went dark again!
