Chapter 9

"Hey I don't want to hurt you...okay? you don't have to fear me or anything like that.. I mean no harm'', I tried to soothe him but the kiddo only stared back at me. I tried to get close to him but he took that chance and dashed out of the washroom. I stared in disbelief at how fast this little kiddo was. I looked around the washroom and spotted the kiddo's cellphone by the sink. I smiled inwardly before leaving the area with the cellphone in my hand. When I got to my apartment,I found that my project had made a little progress...today must have been my lucky day.

Moulynes POV

I don't know why I ran out of there,despite knowing he won't really hurt me.....my feet were just too fast for me to even control their movements. I found Charles at the parking lot and when he saw me running towards him he waited patiently with a worried look on his face.

''Are you okay? Why were you running like that?''

''It's nothing... let's go'' I said panting as he led me to the car. When we got home, I went straight to my bedroom and that is when I realized I didn't have my phone with me. I began to think of where I must have left it but nothing came in mind...wait! The washroom! I mist have left it in the washroom! I face palmed myself at my stupidity but I knew if I left it there then it won't be there by tomorrow.... I lay on my bed, allowing my mind to freely roam but all my thoughts were about him...why couldn't I just get him out of my head? Did I hate him that much? soon than later I drifted off to sleep with him as my last thoughts. After a while, I saw a young kid,about five year old, running away from something,like a prey running away from its predator. The place had many trees and it was pitch black. From a distance I could see flashes of torches trailing behind us as we ran for reasons I could not understand and I heard people shouting ''catch him! Don't let him escape!'' As we ran through the woods, the kid accidentally stumbled on a huge root and fell down a steep slope. After rolling for what seemed like forever he hit his back on a ver huge stone but upon further inspection I found out it was a cave.
