CHAPTER 17 How? Did I just got fired? I

Katniss was woken up by the noise downstairs as she got up her bed screaming her mom, Beatrix barged into her room "Katniss something bad just happened" Katniss looked scared but she still asked "What's wrong mom? Is everything alright?" her mom started crying as she hugged Katniss "He is gone Kat. Ace is gone" at first Katniss just wanted the earth to swallow her up but she took it slow and patted her mom on the back as she smiled "Dont worry mom I'll find him" her mom smiled faintly and walked away, Katniss sat down on the bed thinking of what to do 'Why would he do that?' Katniss thought but then she suddenly remembered how Ace was towards Aeryn so she called her but no one answered so she took a shower, got into her car and drove off.

As she got into the yard of Aeryn's house as she knock on the door Aeryn was the one to open it but when she saw Katniss she jumped "Come in right now" Katniss came in as Aeryn took her upstairs as she opened her wardrobe only to find Ace there "ACE!!" Katniss screamed on the top of her lungs up Ace just waved at her "Hey sis" Katniss was so furious that she grabbed him by the hair "What is wrong with you? Why did you run from home? do you know how worried your family is?" He felt embarrassed so he apologized " I'm sorry sis I'm just really in love with Aeryn and it's hard for me to explain my feelings so I decided to run and stay with her" Katniss looked at Aeryn as she nods her head she faces Ace "Look Ace we can be friends first alright that's better right?" Ace was so happy he hugged Aeryn and went out Katniss smiled at Aeryn "Thanks for all of that" Aeryn hugged her and smiled " sure but I need to tell you something" Katniss mood changed as she looked at her "what's up what is it" Aeryn started " I think someone is about to get fired I overheard it yesterday" but Katniss didn't seem to be bothered so she told her everything is ok and got out of the house and drove home with her brother as much as everyone was happy to have Ace back and soon everyone was asleep but Katniss got a call from an unknown number she picked it up "Hello" the person with a deep voice replied "Hello Miss. Katniss"
