Chapter 8: Meeting Ava

"You killed my mother!" I scream in the rain looking at them with raw anger. When I was sure they were dead I continued crying and after what felt like hours I went back to the house just to see it was already swarming with people I weave my way through the crowd and I see that my mother's body was being put in a body bag. I rush forward and hold her body close to me, "The bad people are gone mommy, I've killed them. Please wake up" I rest my head on her chest and let my tears fall.

"Monster" a voice shouted behind me so I snapped my head in the direction of the voice and my eyes widen when I see that it was Bella and she was pointing at me "You're a monster, you killed your mother. Mommy I told you there was something wrong with her, look she killed her mother" All eyes turn to me and before I know I'm being dragged away from my mother's lifeless body "Kill her" a voice echoes from within the crowd and to my horror everyone agrees. "No, please. I didn't kill her, it wasn't me" I struggled to get my hand out of his grip but he is too strong. I become scared and start screaming, the hands on me loosen I look up to see why, the vines they're back. I quickly move towards it and stand behind them "Don't come any closer" I warn in a shaky voice but their responds were just angry growls, they charge towards me a scared twelve year old trying to kill me. I look towards the vines and as if hearing my silent plea for help the start moving towards my attackers throwing them in different directions knocking some unconscious and giving other minor wounds, when I see that they are no longer attacking I look back at the vine and it stops but they are backing away with one look in their eyes, fear. They were afraid of me, I scan through the crown and my eyes land on Bella but it doesn't stay long because she starts running and other follow after her. I take it as my que and sprint into the forest, after running for what felt like hours I stopped feeling exhausted, sitting on the grass and resting my back against a tree bark I close my eyes trying to fill my lungs with as much air as possible to reduce the burning pain from the lack of oxygen. My eyes flutter open when I feel something wet touch my cheek, a snake was right in front of my face feeling startled having the animal this close to me, I scream. The snake moves back at first and keeps a reasonable distance between us, seeing that it didn't try to harm me I play with my luck and stretch my left hand forward, the snake crawls closer letting it's head touch the palm of my hand I giggle from the contact because it tickled. "Hey new friend, mind knowing a place where I could sleep, I can't sleep on the tree or in the open like this. There has to be a cave around here, right?" It hisses as if giving me an answer. It starts crawling away and I decide to follow it, it stops in front of what seems like a wall with creeping vines on it. I move towards it and is surprised to see an opening, walking in I stop in my tracks at the marvelous site in front of me. There are blue crystals at the center of the cave which reflects because of the opening at the top, by the side of the cave there is what looks like a pond and the water is extremely clear but reflecting the blue colour to the top of the cave making the place look even more magical. 'Yep, I'm gonna love living here' I hear and turn around looking for where the voice came from 'Don't be afraid, my name is Ava and I am you wolf'

I keep quiet for a while before my lips break into a wide smile "Hello Ava, it's nice to meet you"
