The room was covered in the hymn of silence when the tiny pieces of the window glass scattered all over the polished marbled floor, leaving the both of them frozen on their feet, especially the saintess, who could not move an inch as if her body had left her soul in surprise while Reinhardt's face was painted in distress as their eyes locked up on Khalid, whose head was looking down on the floor.
'Ah, I almost lost it.'
He covered his face with his tiny little palms as he gazed upon Agnette, who was trembling like a frightened cat.
'This guy is crazy! '
She thought while her body suddenly started to startle just by looking at the nonchalant expression on his face.
Khalid's serious expression was like a raccoon that gave chills on her spine, watching him walk slowly in her direction that has left her no choice but to panic.
"YOU!-"
His voice was so hella serious that it made Agnette question herself in fright.
'Wha-what? What is it again?!'
She was almost taken aback and was about to move her feet to distance herself from Khalid, who was continuously walking towards her in a hurry, maintaining a deadpan look on his face, which was scarier than the bloody corpses lying on the floor.
When Khalid walks closer and closer to her, he holds Agnette's fragile wrist so tight that she can feel her bones clenching on her flesh.
"Where is the kid?!"
Just then, Khalid felt an electric feeling inside his body that seemed to circulate straight towards his chest. It began to pump and form the sound of a beating heart when he suddenly burst into rage, looking so furious while gritting his teeth in anger.
He grips it firmly until Agnette lets out a groan from her mouth, that even though Reinhardt was trying to help and stop Khalid from blackening, a sudden dust storm of massive tornadoes covers the room and makes his eyesight completely blurred, which prevents him from coming near them that even their voices are not visible to hear.
"I didn't know what you were talking about, you fool!"
She claimed, while her mind was a mess, that all she wanted was to get out of his tight grip.
"Argh!"
'It hurts; it felt like my wrist was about to break!'
Hearing her groan made Khalid come to his senses as he tried to control the emotion bursting in his heart.
"You'd better not be lying."
He warned her before letting go of her wrist that the grip of his palm had left a visible bruise around it.
The tornado inside the room also vanished in thin air almost leaving him confused after knowing that he could not feel any emotions again after letting go of his touch and that even Reinhardt himself could not believe what he was just seeing.
When Khalid left the two inside the room, looking at the palms of his hands, Reinhardt immediately followed bowing his head first while looking so worried and apologetic towards the saintess, who had fallen on her knees while holding her wrist as she trembled in terror.
'Cra-crazy! That was crazy! I thought I was going to die! '
She gulped while excessive sweat escaped from her body, making her look like a melting candle.
After Khalid escaped the scene, he unexpectedly met Zev on the way outside the temple.
She hurriedly rushed towards him in panic while holding a familiar-looking pin in her hands.
"Hey! What's happened inside the meeting room?"
Zev asked in worry while looking at Khalid, who was lost in thought.
"Forget it."
Zev mumbled and handed over the pin she picked up in the middle of nowhere outside the temple, which belonged to Lily.
"It must belong to her; I've found it outside, not so far from the carriage-"
She then flinched in surprise, as if the cat had cut her tongue, when Khalid gently patted her on the head, causing her face to flush red like a petal of roses.
She was left flustered and embarrassed that she could not speak properly because of his sudden behavior.
"What!-what are you doing?!"
Zev began to panic and was starting to walk backward when Khalid almost made her freeze like a statue as he suddenly pinched her cheek with a keen eye.
After squeezing both of her cheeks, Khalid came to the realization that nothing happens, but not when it comes to the saintess.
'It's strange; I felt nothing.'
He thought before he let go of her cheeks, that it had left Zev's face all swollen and plump like a peach.
"You've done a good job."
Khalid praised and got the pin on her hand as he walked out of the scene, leaving Zev dumbfounded and flushing red that she only watched Khalid's back walk far from her sight.
It made her cover her face from embarrassment, which eventually shattered after hearing a familiar voice from a distance.
"Stop grinning. It makes you look like an idiot."
He affirmed not caring about her feelings.
The man was leaning his back on the wall with his arms both crossed, and his cheek also looked swollen and plump, which made Zev roll her eyes at Dal.
'Tsk, tsk, I expect for nothing!'
She thought as she walked past Dal.
When they all got inside the carriage, Erwin, whose cheek was also as red as a ripe tomato, couldn't help but wonder what was on Khalid's mind that made him quiet for a while.
'I wonder what's really happened after meeting the saintess.'
He thought while staring at Khalid inside the carriage, who was headed to the town square, to find a trace of Lily.
Well, that was supposed to happen, but looking at the situation right now, Khalid is being held hostage by the arms of an unknown boy. Looking so calm while a piece of a broken alcohol bottle is pointed at his neck making him look like he does not care about the situation.
He just enjoyed watching Erwin fume in anger while looking at the boy, who was a centimeter taller than him, with crimson eyes and a skanky appearance that made him look worse than a commoner, with messy black charcoal hair styled in a mullet-wolf cut, while both of his wrists and feet were cuffed by cut chains.
"Erwin, relax yourself; he's just a kid."
Khalid stated that it made the kid tremble in anger after hearing those words.
"In fact…"
He gazed upon Erwin with a serious look in his eyes.
"He'll be losing consciousness soon."
Just when he affirmed it the kid lost his grip on the bottle and immediately used his right hand to support his head when he began to feel dizzy, his sight seemed to spin and turn blurry as if he were about to vomit, leading him to lose consciousness before he had fallen to the ground.
Seeing it, Erwin looks at Khalid with a confused expression written on his face.
"I swear I have done nothing, but at least he's not dead."
Khalid spoke so calmly while dragging the boy's body towards him.
