Few hours later.
In the living room of Einzbern Castle, Shirou and the girls were currently discussing what they had found out and their next plan of action.
Illya was taking a nap on Shirou's lap though, much to Rin's annoyance.
"Okay, so Aura is actually something similar to Magic Circuits." Said Rin as she placed a notebook filled with words and drawings on the table, "the amount of aura is determined by birth, it cannot increase nor decrease, similar to Magic Circuits. And similar to Magi, a person that came from an old family of Huntsman have more aura compared to those that don't."
"Semblance is similar to a Magic Crest," continued Luvia as she a couple of pages from Rin's notebook, "it can be inherited by their children, that is if only one of them has aura. If the parents both have different semblance, their child would either inherit one of theirs, or have a mutated one that is unique to her own."
"That's all we can find in a few hours," Rin crossed her arms in frustration, "If I have a few days, or if Medea was the one to conduct some research on them, we would surely find more information."
"Wait a minute," Artoria raised her hand, "Conduct some research? What did you two do to them?"
Shirou's eyes widened, "You two...don't tell me you..."
Rin shrugs, "What? There's a good research material in front of us, we can't pass that up. So of course we dissected them."
"What!?" Shirou exclaimed as Artoria couldn't help but look shocked at that revelation.
"Don't worry Sherou, we made sure that they wouldn't feel a thing. Once they wake up, it'd be like nothing happened." Said Luvia with a kind smile.
"We also threw them out and erase their memories just in case." Rin added.
"That's not the point!" Shirou couldn't help but sigh in exasperation at the very magus-like behavior. Why was he surprised? The girls with the exception of Artoria, are kind of a sociopath when it comes to outsiders.
They have very little regards for others feelings, rights or experience. They will do what they deem to be of their best benefits.
Shirou himself is kind, he would help someone if they asked for it. But he wouldn't hesitate to dirty his hands if it's necessary. Hell, he was an assassin. He kills people for money.
He is very similar to Artoria in that regards, just without that knightly honor or something.
"By the way, I have finished putting bounded fields around the castle." Said Medea, gaining the attention of the others, "Even if a servant were to forcefully breakthrough, they would need to bleed and struggle before reaching the castle."
"I also cleaned up some of those Grimms you talk about. They aren't really that strong, but I guess I'm kinda used to fighting Dead Apostles and Servants." Said Bazett with a shrug.
"Speaking of Grimms," Medea spoke, "I noticed that they are kind of similar to my Dragon Tooth Warriors, and a roughly made Homunculus. They don't have thoughts on their own and move on instincts, but they can be commanded."
"If they can be commanded, then there is surely someone out there who makes and control them." Luvia concluded, frowning a little.
Silence permeated the room, as they all thought of how troublesome it is to be an enemy to someone who could make possibly billions of Grimms and drive humanity to almost going extinct.
"Well," Sakura broke the ice with a clap of her hands as she said, "Thinking here won't help us. Why don't we think of our current course of action before thinking about the big bad boss."
"I agree," said Medusa with a smile, "Besides, if we're going to be stuck here for awhile, we need money. And I doubt we can use Euro, Dollars, or Yen in this world."
"I'll be a Huntress." Bazett stated with a grin. "I can also forge us some fake ID's and stuff, Shirou and I are expert in that stuff."
"Different world or not, it is my solemn duty to spread the word of the Lord." Caren said, before taking a sip of her tea. "Though, being a school nurse is a good option as well. I worked as one in Shirou's alma mater before."
"I would love to open a restaurant." Sakura said excitedly while clasping her hands, "Back then I wanted to open one myself, but being the head of Matou family and the Second Owner of Fuyuki has a lot of responsibilities. Especially since Tohsaka and Einzbern pretty much lay off their hands on it."
"I will follow Sakura." Said Medusa while looking at her master, before sneaking a glance at Shirou, "Unless of course, you needed me for something else."
Shirou just smiled at her, "You know you can do what you wished Medusa. If you want to follow Sakura, then do so."
Medusa smiled at him in return.
"I wanted to be a teacher," Medea sighed dreamily, "I enjoyed it very much when I was teaching Luvia. I think it's my calling."
"You guys..." Rin stared at them before sighing, "We haven't even decided anything yet, why are you all so excited to work?"
"I'd rather start a business." Luvia took out a fan from somewhere and fanned herself, "Dusts appears to be a very good business opportunity. It's like the oil business back in our world. Jewelry and arms trade is also quite good."
"I don't really know what to do." Artoria lowered her head in embarrassment. Though she was thinking of being a politician, after all she's also an expert in politcs, being a king and all.
It will also help them greatly; having someone in the government would allow them to get away from almost anything.
But seriously, she really doesn't want to deal with politics anymore.
"I would prefer being a Hunter or a Blacksmith. Muramasa really made me enjoy it." Said Shirou with a smile.
"Seriously," Rin palmed her face, "At least you chose some pretty decent jobs for yourself at least. I guess I'll do the dirty work and get involved in the underworld."
Just then, Liz who was eating on some potato chips walked in. Everyone looked at her as her dull red eyes stared at them back.
Slowly, she opened her mouth, "Some of my...sisters, discovered a mine just behind the castle. It's filled with those crystals they called Dusts."
"Lucky!" Luvia stood up in excitement, "Now, all I need is some funds to start my company - which I will appropriately name Edelya - and then wait to get rich! Oohohoho!"
"That annoying laugh." Rin grumbled, but did not do anything to shut her rival up.
"By the way, Sella asked if you still want to celebrate your 5th year anniversary." Said Liz.
"Right!" Sakura exclaimed as she stood up, "Due to all this stuff I kind of forgot. Liz, please tell Sella that we want to continue our celebration."
"Sure~," Liz hummed as she walked out of the room.
"Well," Artoria turned towards them, "Why don't we forget about this for today and just enjoy. We'll deal with everything tomorrow."
"Then everyone, let's head back to the dining room." Sakura suggested, "Problems will be dealt with tomorrow, for now we celebrate."
"Sure."
"Let's go."
Positive responses was given as they all agreed, with Shirou having to carry the still sleeping - she's actually awake but just wanted to be spoiled - Illya.
You might ask, why are do they look so casual about this situation?
Well, Zelretch. The old vampire would occasionally send them in different points in time or parallel worlds just for fun.
They have gotten used to it that they treated it as an everyday occurrence.
Besides, they have each other and even the Homunculus in the castle, they can handle pretty much anything.
